Have you ever told your parents you are a nudist

  Yes, they have known for a long time. As a kid I was only allowed to be naked in my own room, so really naked living had to wait until I moved out.
  Now I am always naked in my own home. Of they want to visit, they call ahead, as they don't feel comfortable in a naked social setting.

  There was no point to telling them. I was one of those kids that survived their childhood so was not close to my parents or sibs. Just played the role when I had too. They were ultra conservative and their religious beliefs would not permit open nudity. They both passed away recently. My older sister has a notion I am prone to it. Still there is no purpose in telling her either.

  No way would my wife tell her parents. Her mom is ULTRA conservative. If you look up the definition in the dictionary of the word textile you will see a picture of her. It would bring worry and concern to her parents so it's not anywhere worth revealing it.

  My dad who passed at age 88 and a psychologist never understood why I enjoyed clothes-free living. My sister joined me before she married another nudist from who she is now divorced.

  My mother would have done it. I did tell my MIL that Allen and I went skinnydipping a few times. She just giggled. My religious congregation knows as do most friends.

  I didn't tell my parents that I was a nudist as they just found out when I was nude. My late father wasn't too happy over this but my mother excepts it now and sees me nude quite often.

  I didn't get the opportunity as they both died before I called myself a nudist. my children do count. They all accept my nude lifestyle.

  I can't recall how the subject came up but many years ago I told my mother about how nice it was to go to a nude beach. She thought it was just fine and told me that my father would skinnydip at our cottage after dark, and her own father slept nude every day of his adult life. I think she just learned that from her mother, I don't think he was nude around the kids. Looks like I inherited the predisposition and carried it a bit farther.

  In 1954 my wife and three kids, (ages 5-3-and newborn) went to a nudist resort, Camp Goodland, Hackettstown, New Jersey for the first time. Afterwards I told my parents about it. They easily accepted the idea. They were born and raised in New Jersey. Nothing shocks Jerseyites

  I grew up in a nude household (we didn't refer to ourselves as "nudists" but nudity was common) so when I told my mom, she wasn't surprised. The subject came up when she was telling me about making Meals-On-Wheels deliveries to White Thorn Lodge in western PA. At that point, it seemed appropriate to tell her that my wife and I were active members of Pine Tree Associates in MD (we lived in DC at the time.)

  I told my parents this year. It wasn't something I had thought I'd ever tell them, but I'd made plans to travel alone to a nudist camp in Canada (I'm in the UK) and just didn't feel right to lie about where I was the whole week. So I told them before I went. It didn't shock either of them, which, credit where it's due, is largely down to my brother laying the groundwork by coming out as gay and marrying a man 25 years his senior. I think I'd have to do something much bigger than running around naked to get a reaction now!

  My mother passed away about the same time I began experiencing social nudism. She had been very prudish when I was younger, but had softened with age. In that short period before her passing I didn't mention it.

  My father passed away six years later. During those years I became a serious social nudist. He was comfortable with nudity around the house, especially in the mornings while getting cleaned up. When I was growing up the two of us would be nude using the bathroom together in the mornings. As an adult we would be nude together in the mornings as we both slept nude. Even though I never told him I was a nudist, I think he had an inkling as I spent more time nude when we visited each other. At one point I noticed him noticing my groomed genitalia, which may have given him an additional signal about by comfort with being even more bare naked.

  Have been staying with MIL while our new home is finished. During a cold snap last week went to her basement to do my nude yoga. (With the gas fireplace it was warmer than our bedroom.) Since it was early in the morning and my MIL always has coffee and reads the paper it didn't occur to me she would want to start a load of wash that early. I was in a pose with my back to her when I heard her tell me to not turn around. Since then, her catching me doing nude yoga has been mentioned frequently, in a humorous light.

  I told my parents when I was 19 as I knew they went to naturist beaches when on there own, so we all went together.

  Absolutely not! My parents especially my mother were very conservative in clothing related issue. I wasn't even allowed to be shirtless in the house, but it was OK if I removed my shirt to do yard work. Once after I was married I made a quick middle of the night trip to the bathroom i just shorts at their house. I crossed paths with my mother in the hall and she told me to put a shirt on if I was leaving the bedroom for any reason.

  I started at age 15, Got use to community showers after Gym Class. At 19 my mom come across me. She took in in stride and never said a word. She didn't mind it although she never did or would. After that I didn't hide. About once a month she would see me nude. We once had a 20 min chat while I was nude.

  My mother knows and thinks if it makes me happy it's a good thing , my father never knew before he died. He would have been fine with it he was very accepting.

  Never specifically. Mother and dad were divorced when I was 14 (now 68) and started sleeping nude. Pretty sure she told him but he never said a word, plus from a much younger age I knew he slept nude all the time. Mom slept nude most of the time also. She never said a word either but pretty sure she knew and surmised as much, especially those first few time's she woke me for school and being many times no covers. Nudity was not a big issue as many times I would see her get out of the shower going to her bedroom with just a towel wrapped around her waist, once in awhile no towel. Plus dad before he left would be seen naked also And every so often as I was getting out of the shower and going to my room to get ready for school she would see me. I think she may have been a closet nudist. There were several times I would stop by her house to visit, with girl friend in tow occasionally, after I moved out and she would be fully naked say excuse me for a minute and come back out with her robe only on. to only shed it after i left I ma sure. So I guess you could say I come by it naturally to be a nudist.

  I bought a house 10 miles from the folks. So yes I told them if it was a warm sunny day they should call first, as I would be naked outside. Dad did not seem to know how to use a phone though. So they found out several times I was telling the truth ;-) Dad was an old farm kid with 7 brothers, so he did not care but Mom preferred not to see me that way. So he'd lay on the horn before pulling into the driveway to give me a heads up ;-) My sisters started doing the same ;-) But one of them finally said "I don't care, be naked :-0
