Mowing the lawn nude — Things to do nude on True Nudists

I know this is a subject matter that gets posted up from time to time; but today as I couldn't make it to Byron Bay for World Naked Bike Ride, I stayed home and finally ticked this item off my bucket list of things to do nude!

And it was so liberating. The neighbours on one side have gone away on holidays (vacation) and the two other lots of neighbours were out for the day (being Sunday). My family had headed out and I let my wife know that I would be mowing the lawns nude...she said perhaps the back lawn only then hey!

So I headed out to my shed with only shoes and a hat on. Got my electric mower out and just did the lawn nude. I then got my electric edger out and went around doing the edges. I must confess I did not do the front lawn nor the street nature strip nude, but with only a pair of shorts. One of my neighbours returned during this period and I just gave them a big wave and a smile; and imagined what it'd be like if public nudity was legal.

I sort of feel that doing something so labouring is part of the liberation. Just being unclad and free from the heat building clothing that I would normally wear was such a joy.

Not quite nude, but today I did wear a pair of shorts I havent worn outside yet. To put fertilizer out before it rained. Front and back yard. It started to rain before I finished.

I live off a state highway far enough back that I can mow all of my yard nude. Its great to feel the sun and breeze on my body as I mow. Only once did I get caught by anyone. New neighbor in the back came up in his gator to introduce himself. I let him know that I was nude and if it bothered him I would motor up to the house to put some shorts on. He said he was fine with the condition of my lack of textiles and we talked for awhile. Great to get to know the neighbors who are not shocked by simple nudity.

I have mowed the lawn nude. Great feeling. I would start mowing in the back yard and work my way to the front yard. Only time I stop is to use hose to spray water on me. I have neighbors that could see me out front but I never see anyone ever outside. So the front lawn will get mowed nude also. I did mow down the road nude once and had a truck come by but don't think he noticed I was nude. Its a zero turn with steering wheel so it has a post in the middle.

I live on a busy through street across from a high school so nude front yard work is out of the question.

I've stood out by road nude with garbage can and nobody slowed down

Yes, that time of year here in Virginia as well, even though today I will more than likely pull out the weedeater one more time for the season, to knock down the few tufts of green that are poking up more than the rest. Our yard isn't much work over all -- during the height of the season it still only takes about an hour for a full round of mowing and weedeating. And no, I don't miss it during the winter! Naked yard work surely always beats sweating through those regular chores with clothes on when the temps are high. Only one month to go before winter starts!

Mine are made of a polyester blend instead of 100% cotton because they feel better to me. Due to the size of my yard, all of my mowing is while on a garden tractor or using a gas-powered weed trimmer. When it is warm outside, I always mow my backyard and part of the sides while nude. If I am mowing late and it is dark or near dark, I will also mow the front yard while nude. The only tricky part is mowing the shoulder of the road and the areas next to the ditch. I have to be watchful for oncoming traffic and either face them so that my headlights keep them from seeing me or drive into my yard to duck behind some trees. I'll wear my shorts when trimming the front yard and I'm always shirtless during the warmer weather.

I mow the back yard nude, don't have a lawn in front since I live on the side of a mountain. I do weed eat in front along the driveway, nudity depends on how high it is, I do blow off the driveway nude, gonna blow the leaves off tomorrow, it's supposed to warm up to 53 so should be nice enough to do nude.

I have had heat stroke to many times to count. When you can't sweat, you know you're in trouble . My wife has come outside to tell me it's to cold and I needed to come in when it's 40 or lower, but if I am doing something, then I don't get cold. Plus the more you're in the cold the more tolerance you will have. I would much rather be in the cold than the heat, you can always put on more for warmth but you can't take more off than nude to be cool.

What is the minimum temperature at which you are comfortable nude?

Depends if I am just tinkering then 50-55f, if I am actually working then down as low 40 for an extended time. If it's for only for 30 minutes or so then I've been out in mid 30s comfortably. Like I said I hate the heat.

Like I said I hate the heat.[/quote] Temperature (without wind) is a very relative thing. Fell asleep on a picnic table in Iceland once wearing just a pair of shorts, and got a pretty good sunburn. High for the day was 32F, but the sun was shining bright. Came out of a friends house in Saudi Arabia in August and was surprised at how nice if felt outside. Temperature had dropped below 100F and the breeze was coming off the dry desert. John aka CoBeachbum

I mow my lawn nude now, I have neighbors on both sides. On one side no one ever comes out. On the other side the people come out. We have a picket fence. I mow the lawn whether theyre out or not. They havent complained so I just mow and edge. I just love how it feels mowing naked its so liberating and if theres a breeze it feels amazing.
