I was shaving in the mirror the other day an my eyes wandered to the rest of my body.  Then i thought to myself "shouldn't i shave the rest?".  I do understand that evolution gave us body hair so that primitive man could keep warm in the winter, so I thought I'd ask the people that dress the closest to the primitive man what their opinions on shaving are.

You will get many different answers from many different people.  I myself shave my head and face because I am going bald and figured shaving was the easiest way to address maintaining my hairdo, and I don't like my facial hair so don't grow a beard.  I also shave my chest, pits, tummy and genital area for comfort and personal reasons.  I don't shave my back or butt because it seems a hassle, and my arms and legs go unshaved because it is hard to maintain in my opinion.  Occasionally I do my legs but it never lasts.  There are others who shave the entire body and are proud of it.  I say good for you and carry on.  Others say shaving is not what was intended and if we were meant to be hairless we would have evolved that way, or God would have made us that way.  It is not healthy, or it is very healthy.Basically it boils down to it is up to you.  It truly is a personal preference, that should not be based on what others say you should do.  I have read all sorts of arguments for both sides and still shave the way I do and most likely will continue until I either can't do it anymore or I pass on.  It does feel very interesting to be shaven, at the same time for the first few days or weeks of regular shaving you have a risk of irritation and razor burn, so be conscious of that.  However as you progress and maintain a normal shaving ritual the skin will become less irritiable and you will reap the positive benefits of feeling smooth as a babies butt!  I hope this helps and I hope you get the answer you are looking for.

I shave my face. But trim body hair that I can reach easily, except my chest hair. Would not do any more it itches to much when it grow back.
I've told this story before, but when I was a kid I coudn't wait to get hair. When I went to my first nude beach at 16 I was shocked by the shavers. I couldn't understand why anyone would become a smoothie. Of course I just had to try it in an effort to "fit in" to a crowd that doesn't fit in to regular society.
Once I shaved I started to realize that I liked the look, the feel, and somehow outdoors even the wind felt more sensual. Give it a shot. If you like it, keep doing it. If you don't, don't do it a second time. The whole point is to do what makes YOU feel good. Don't worry about others.

I started shaving my body about 15 years ago when the hair on my hands and arms started getting thick and dark in patches where it had always been light colored.  One day in the shower I decided to do my pubes as well.  I have recently decided to go back to natural pubic hair because I like the look.  I'll keep shaving the rest of my body because I like it better smooth and I don't have to do it daily like pubic hair.
Like most of the comments here, it is a personal choice and no right/wrong. I had my legs lasered about 4 years ago  and hair didn't grow back - just starting to now. With regards the groin area, I get the crack and sac waxed ( not as painful as it sounds) but after a few waxing of main pubic hair have decide that prefer the hair there. Funnily I actually felt naked when I was totally smooth - strange I know. but feel more comfortable when not 100% smooth.Just do what you feel comfortable with - its a your body after all, good luck!

Yes it is all about personal choice.  Nudism teaches us to accept and respect others as they are - in this case hairy or smooth.  For those that are wondering about shaving, I say try it both ways then decide.
Me?  As a corporate guy, I have to keep my head hair short and shave my face and neck.  As a cyclist I have shaved my legs for years.  I like the feeling of being shaved around my package, and yes, they do say it makes it look bigger lol. Everything else varies on my available time for grooming, itchiness, and mood.
So try it hairy and hairless and then decide.

I sugar whole body below the neck.  Lasts about 6 weeks.  I only trim facial hair,  I like how the stubble feels.  I started shaving body hair in high school because my body hair is patchy.  Shaved facial hair for the same reason until I developed seborrheic dermatitis.  Don't like the beard look, so a close trim twice weekly.  I've gone through cycles of shaving and not for body and pubic hair.  Always prefer smooth over hair, but get tired of the upkeep and let it go for awhile.  Then finally return.

I used to shave my head for the reason of getting bald however I feel I want to grow my hair back for some time. I used to trim my body hair at times but I don't always keep up with it.

Sunmaxx, To answer your question, yes I have let my wife shave me, and I shaved her while she was pregnant but usually we shave ourselves. It is easier and faster since completely bare is our normal.

I clip from the chest down, I start the chest at a 5 and then fade to a 1 in the pubic area.  I shave my scrotum and the shaft.  I have also gone for one 1 laser hair removal for my shaft, scrotum, perineum and my around my anus. I am happy with the laser results on my perineum and around my anus, but I am not happy with the laser on my shaft or my scrotum.  I don't see any difference after 1 session.  I think I will do a second on all 4 to see if I notice anything.  Again, it is a matter of choice by oneself and the partner.

I've never heard of sugar being used to shave. I've read of people using sugar and oil to exfoliate.

Thanks. I'd never heard of this before. I assume this would be as painful as a waxing.

There is a motion picture named"Caramel"about a beauty shop in a mid-eastern country. It is popular in that part of the world to use caramel to remove body hair. It's the same as other shops using hot wax for hair removal.
When I was a kid I used to make peanut brittle at home. It was easy. You just put some sugar in a pan and heated it until it melted. Mix in some nuts and pour it into a greased dinner plate to harden. We used a dinner plate so the candy wouldn't be too thick and was easier to break apart and eat. If you didn't grease the dish, it was impossible to get the brittle out of the dish. Try it. It's fun and tastes good.
Caramel is made in a similar fashion. Melt the sugar in a pan and add a small amount of lemon juice. The lemon juice will prevent the candy from hardening and remain pliable. Be careful about the temperature because hot candy can seriously burn the skin. This can be remolded to keep stripping new areas. It's like working with play-doh. This can be reused several times by reheating in the microwave to make it pliable enough to use.
I have never tried this form of hair removal but have only read about it. If someone tries it, let us know how it works out. Also let us know how your peanut brittle tasted.
