JohnSep 24, 2012All this discussion reminds me of an incident that happened 20+ years ago. I owned a T-Top camaro. Was driving with a friend to his office several towns over. We decided to stop for lunch on the way. As it was getting quite warm in the afternoon, I took that opportunity to remove the tops. When we continued on our way, he put his seat belt on (He didn't have it on prior). When I inquired why the change, his response was because I had taken the tops off. I laughed that he thought those flimsy pieces of glass were going to protect him very much if we rolled over. On the highway, I could understand, but all we had left was inner-city driving. By the way, I've done most of the things mentioned naked (not the welding). A thin strip of cotton doesn't do much in the way of grease splatter prevention. Just have to be careful.

For example if you are riding a motorbike at 70 mph it takes 2 seconds to wear the flesh through to bone if you're not wearing leathers or equivalent. Even the most competent rider can fall off from time to time.
I occasionally use a chain saw and I have special chain saw protective trousers which snarl up in the chain and stop it. No matter how expert you are in the use of a chain saw the possibility if kick back can never be 100% eliminated.
When welding its physically impossible to prevent molten metal spitting off. Look at any welders gear and you will see the burn marks and in bare skin this would do a lot of damage.
When using a brush cutter it always throws up small bits of debris. A decent pair of trousers prevents small cuts etc.

At best jeans will only give you one more second of wear in your crash. [/quote]I love washing the dishes by hand when I am nude, as I get splashed all the time and all I say at least I don't have to dry my clothes plus I usually air dried by the time I have finished cleaning up.
Plus no dishwasher means they have to be washed by hand.ReactReply
