HOW SO MANY PEOPLE JOIN THIS WEBSITE BUT ARE AFRAID TO POST PICTURES OF IN THE NUDE? I THNK PEOPLE THAT WANT TO JOIN TRUE NUDISTS WEBSITE SHOULD HAVE TO HAVE NUDE PICTURESIN THIER PROFILE. MAKES WONDER IF THE ON ES THAT DONT HAVE NUDE PICTURES ARE TRUE NUDISTS.

Catbird......there is NOTHING official about this site at all. I can understand where mrgoodbar is comming from. This site has come down from being a great site to one of having lowered its standards. I have made a lot great friends in TN and I wonder why they dont come back or have left.

I had several, but none are in the "top five." They haven't changed since before it became a pay site.Methinks "mandatory" is WAY over the top ! I want to put a face with a name, not necessarily "other parts" that have virtually nothing to do with what makes a person anyway.
I favor certification. I favor SOME kind of face pic on a profile.
I do not necessarily favor nude photo's, though I ( obviously ) have no objection.
Posting anything ( like this missive ) for the whole world to see ( literally ) takes a certain something that not everyone has.
Demanding nude photos takes nothing. There are plenty of sex sites for that.
Discussing issues relevant to being, or becoming, or considering, is of far greater importance IMHO.
Posting any photo on this site takes some guts as-is. Posting a nude photo takes considerably more, especially when one considers potential ramifications which may not apply to YOU, but may well directly affect my livelihood.ReactReply - MEMemberSep 9, 2009
I agree, that certification is the way to go, having nude pics or private profiles is the prerogative of the member, I am certified, and a paying member, although new to the site, the Friend request should not be based on what they see but on whether or not the individual choses to make friends either through MSG or chat. I honestly do not think that a nude photo here proves anything, it is who you are that proves your intentions here.
Granted to be Certified you have to send a nude photo, is that not proof enough? demanding people is much different then setting the example, So get Certified, filter the people off your friends list who either do not conform to your standards, and get over it. Curt has a good point far to many nudes with no face, so what does that prove.

The only thing to add is, we are about honesty and accepting others as they are, without judging them. The great thing is, there ARE no rules, other than to treat people with respect. We are all concerned that without new blood, the movement is in danger of dying out, what is all this talk saying, to all the textile visitors to this site that are here to research the lifestyle, to see if it's something they might be interested in pursuing? I am more comfortable if everyone is nude, especially at a venue, but the c/o idea is a way to encourage new members that might otherwise not be brave enough to find out, that it's best to jump strait in to the deep end, not to mention those that need it to protect themselves from the dangers of the net. It also reinforces the idea that it's about being free to do, what YOU want to do, to suit your own comfort level. Ok then sorry, all of you have good points. I need to understand that I am me everyone has their own comfort zones. I know im fairly new to this site but in all honestly i started to go to nudist beaches back in 1977 when i was stationed down in San Diego and back then these places were known as Nudist beaches to me even though they clothing Optional. I have just back into the clothing optional life style in the couple years. And in no way was i trying to say that all people with clothed pictures are perverts. sorry for that misunderstanding. DRJ35Feb 10, 2010im still new to all this but wouldnt it be against our own so called freedom to force someone to post nude pics. this site is about making people comfortable with both being a nudist and helping the transition to becoming a nudist. If someone is still uncomfortable being nude in person or over the internet it isnt for us to condemn them we are here to encourage them that. It takes time to break away from the social norm of going from must wear clothes at all times to optional. Both men and women ive seen heard known at first everyone is hesitant and self consciousbut its ok we can help them understand its not about us judging them but them being comfortable with themselves. Its not for us to judge them either way becuse nudism is about being comfortable about yourself and bring with others who feel the same way

Very good comments !! We are NOT to judge people by a photograph, unless it is pornographic. A photo with or without clothing does not make a person any better or worse than the next person. New into the world of open nudity is and can be very stressful to some.
I find couples where one or the other is just the opposite.......kind of shy perhaps. That doesnt make those two bad nudists or improper in their conduct or even there level of seriousness. Being naked in front of many others you don't really know is really something you can call an accomplishment. How many times, if ever, have you been in the presence of a sister or brother when either one of you were naked or near naked. Probably almost never for many people.
Accept people for who they are with or without clothes. If new to nudism, help them adjust by being friendly and offereing information.
Tell them about the different resorts; the activities there; the web sites to check out. By doing so, you may make a lifelong friend and you will promote nudity in a positive manner and the ones whom are meant to be, will leave or drop out of site. Hope all this makes sense. Wendy & I have been getting naked for only 3 years. W don't have means to get into it like others are able but we are there in all our splender for you to visualize. and "judge???? Hey, the way I see it, If I am going to go to a resort and be among a lot of naked strangers in person, It should not matter if I am naked in a picture on a reputable naked site. Let me jump in and say....on a site all inhabited by true nudists, it is not unreasonable to expect all participants would be posting a nude photo or two. Having said that, some are uncomfortable with the idea of these photos being available on the internet, so privacy options are available. I really do believe that having a posted nude photograph is a way of building trust in the online community, allowing others here on the site to see we are all believing in the same ideals and lifestyle.
Maybe the newer members need to be further "encouraged" to become TRUE nudist certified, then we have no doubt that they are part of the whole!ReactReply - GE

In any case, his move to have some people certified is merely to offer a way for people to show they are who they say they are. When the site owner was able to put a label on my profile that said "Certified," I knew people would have to accept that I am who I say I am. TeamTrue can attest to that. In fact, he did. While it might be nice to put a face to our esteemed site owner, let's at least recognise that certification and the posting of nude pics are two different matters entirely. There are some people whom I may never see nude on this site, but if they're certified, that's fine with me.ReactReply
