parks.CA.gov: #NUDITY

When no one else is around, who cares what you're wearing or not? For folks who enjoy the Greater Outdoors in California. Share your POSITIVE (even mundane) naked experiences. Fun spots. Folks who behave humanely, respectufully, decently, and friendly don't ever have the problems and crises others have who we hear about in the newspapers. This Group is for them/us. #NormalizingNudity will make not wearing clothes as alarming as not wearing gloves all the time. Growing up in California, nudity never seemed quite as taboo as it is in many other regions. The OFFICIAL rules seem more liability oriented ... in case a real problem arise that warrant judicial review ... as in many things envorcement determines the real legality, and with regard to nudity in California's superb greater outdoors .... at beaches or the mountains or woods ... well, California has real fires to put out, sadly. Federal and City parks have different rules, but I rarely read the fine 8pt print on outdoor signage especially when it comes to PUBLIC LANDS that we all have LIBERTY/RIGHTS to use safely and respectfully. 4322. Nudity. parks.CA.gov No person shall appear nude while in any unit except in authorized areas set aside for that purpose by the Department. The word nude as used herein means unclothed or in such a state of undress as to expose any part of portion of the pubic or anal region or genitalia of any person or any portion of the breast at or below the areola thereof of any female person.
