About Hanlan's Point Beach, Toronto

It's a fantastic place to be in the summer, with the busy city behind you. Saturdays and Sundays are the most busy days. There are clothing optional and clothing mandatory sections to this beach. There are too many textiles, but they are easy to ignore. There seem to be more gay naturists. Everyone is quite respectful. Someone occasionally mans the lounge chair and umbrella booth. There's a small snack-bar with toilets a short clothing-mandatory walk away from the beach.

Directions

The beach is located on the Toronto Islands. To get there, take the ferry at Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, located behind the Westin Harbour Castle on Queen's Quay. (Walk or take streetcar from Union station). Tickets are around $8 CAD return. You can also take private water taxis that cost around $10 CAD one-way.
