Batten down the hatches!

Those of use on the East Coast of the United States are battening down the hatches... As you can see, if you check out my yard pic... I love my yard... It's a mix of styles and 25 years of perennial growth. I've created my sanctuary for peace and harmony and I can be there naked with full freedom.... What's with Irene???? So, I like everyone else is battening down the hatches, bringing every thing I can in and securing things the best I can. I've brought in my favorite plants that have had the outside vacation cut short, all the lawn furniture, bbq.... they are saying 75-100 miles of winds, I don't ever remember, but if they are saying to bring bbqs in that's pretty strong. I sure hope my cast iron tub stays put, it's my pride and joy and helps to make the hot days of summer bearable..... Almost done, just needed a break and an ice pop..... If you pray, please keep those effected by Irene in prayer. If you're close to an elderly person, please check on them, take care of your neighbors for we are one..... I hope everyone stays safe... for me.... I have a bunch of dvds and as long as I have electricity, I'll be a naked couch spud for a bit... ciao for now folks.... :o)
