FKK stands for Freikörperkultur — German for "free body culture" — and it is the everyday word for nudism across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and much of central Europe. An FKK beach, FKK strand, or FKK resort is simply a nude beach or naturist resort. If you are browsing European locations, FKK is the sign you are looking for.

Textile is the word nudists use for "clothed". A textile beach is an ordinary swimsuit beach, and textile-optional or clothing-optional means both are welcome.
