Being Male

Sitting around a fire this summer with other men and nudist fathers, I posed the question of would you rather be a shower or a grower? As I looked around the group all stated they would rather be a shower at nudist events, but grower most of the time. A few of the younger males we needed to explain the two terms. As we talked I realized that body/penis shame is not just for the youth. All ages of males have concerns and thoughts around their penis. For many its what males think about in so many situations and moments. Much more I would bet then a female thinks about her vulva. We talked about the nudist situations where you can feel less male due to others who are showing more size. Even if you grow to a good size, we are trained to not have an erection at nudist events. We talked about when looking for partners as a nudist, the feeling of being judge by first glance. Funny how we know that almost any size can give pleasure to another as well as to the body of the owner. Yet we have been conditioned to believe only the large such as highlighted in porn would be wanted and excite another. I think it starts early in male life the learning from society, movies and such that man is measured by his penis size. From being seen in the showers at the club to laying out near a pool, most feel judged if they are not full length, yet are still a very much male, grown or not. I was once at a pool outing and a very young person stated out loud "Wow you have a big one" and you could see in his eyes the admiration. Was it wrong to have a feeling of pride from the comment? I fully understand females struggle with body shame issues and support them working to over come it. But as in many things males get forgotten on their own body shame issues. As we age we all know many times our penis stays more inside our body or smaller at first glance unless exited. All humans look at other humans when given the opportunity to see them nude. So many males from those I have spoken to struggle with are they being judged at that first glance. Is that what drives the wish for a more showing penis? I myself have thought when youth are learning thru seeing are they wondering is that is the only size a penis becomes? Are they wondering how that size can enter and give pleasure. Are they being taught that penis can grow and all sizes can be pleasure giving. At one of the many ---DELETED--- nudist events I over heard youth males comparing and negative chats on those still not fully grown or developed. It made me sad to hear that penis size was a factor at such a youthful age. I am man enough to admit when I look in the mirror I wish it showed bigger. I can grow to a nice size when in the mood, but still feel a bit less man when seeing my regular state. From the many males that I have had on my massage table they all seem hesitant to when they turn over. Is it fear of judgment if not large size? Is it fear of showing an erection? Are we judged if another man can see our full size? What will he think? We all know we were blessed with whatever size we have in your penis. Nothing can change it. So the only place for change is in our own minds and what we see in the mirror. Give the nude guy in the mirror a break and tell him is looks great and have a healthy penis.
