down under in middle east coming across to ENG!?

Gedaye! Australian thinking of coming to the ENG in Massachussets. Wondering if could get advice from people in the know. I've got little/no idea of practical issues. All I know at moment is that I don't need a visa and that i should get an international driver's licence! Anyone going who might be able to help?
