Friends requests

Don't know if anyone else had the same experience with some indivials here, when requesting to be added to their friends list, first of all being totally ignored with absolutely no (polite) response expalining why they declined, or being very rude and aggresive in their refusal. The really buffling thing is that this happens despite one fitting the friends description on their profile to a T! It doesn't hurt to be polite and courteous.
