Here is what Wildwood had to say about the first event.

What a weekend we had at Wildwood!!! On Friday, September 21, the brisket cooks arrived, set up camp, and stoked the fires. All of the RV guest accommodations and cabins were full and many opted to tent for the weekend. Saturday, the weather was perfect for enjoying water volleyball, relaxing floating, lounge chairs for sunning, or just walking the trails all while smelling the aroma of briskets slowly cooking. The judges did a great job (they enjoyed tasting the different briskets). Results were announced at the beginning of potluck which was its normal tasty and filling and included the first place brisket. After eating, everyone helped clean up in preparation for the live band “Sandusky.” The band started on time to a full room. The dance floor remained full the entire evening. What a way to say “Welcome Fall.” If your club hasn’t scheduled a brisket cook off, please consider it. Wildwood was really buzzing and we did get some first timers for the cook off competition.
