Hey Kid, Do Us a Favor

I originally posted this on It's a Nude Heat When I was getting into social nudity in my 20′s, I had a hard time finding other friends who would go out on naked jaunts with me. Maybe once or twice, but nothing sustained.I tried to hook up with a local group. One reason was because I had trouble meeting other nudists. I’ll be nice and leaver their name out of it. When the organizer I talked to found out how young I was, she asked me if I had a friend that would like to come too. I said maybe. At the time, I had a friend who would make regular drives to El Dorado with me.But, although she liked being naked with me, a group of strangers was a different kettle of fish. She backed out. I went on my own to their next party, a home on the northwest side. The woman checking people in was the same one I had talked to on the phone. She asked me where my friend was. I said that she had decided not to come. She slammed down her pen.Mind you, the group did not have a rule about single men. After talking to the others at the get together, it just seems like everyone was hoping I’d bring in a cadre of younger folks. I never signed up to be a recruiter, but that was the assumption.This was an attitude I encountered in many things I involved myself with when I was young. It didn’t make me eager to stay involved with those groups or this particular one. I have not been to one of their events since.I bring this up because the group was having a get together at Mira Vista this weekend when I was there. By the looks of things, they haven’t improved their recruitment techniques in the last two decades.
