I recently complimented an American lady whose age was past the first blush of youth by saying she had lied about her age having added 10 to 15 years to it. Now, I hope that those who spell Humour correctly would be able to work out that I was meaning it in a humourous if not flirtatious way. For those of you who follow the Bill Gates dictionary, in other words the World (read USA), this seems to be a concept difficult to understand as she eventually blocked me presumably for insulting her. If I had wanted to insult her - and why should I, having initially found her attractive? - I would like to think that, whichever way your spelling is inclined, I could have have found far more telling words with which to accomplish that! Obviously, her attractiveness is only skin-deep.
