Hypocrisy on TN

When Nina (StreetPoet) joined TN I enjoyed reading her blogs, and PMed her a couple of times, complimenting her on them and we had a few interesting conversations. When she abruptly stop replying to my PMs, messages and even chat room comments to her, I sent her an offline message to check I had not inadvertently offended her. I received no direct reply, but saw she had added a comment on her feed: Oh and please do not friend me when you are a 'proud member' of any genitals-related group, that is NOT what nudism or naturism is about. (or groups like "old guys for young girls, age is just a number, own your own grandpa whatever") Also if you are an avid collector of young women, I will definately not be the friend for you I decided to check her friend list and found 16 friends ; 1 couple, 1 female and 14 males. Breaking down her male friends there are 5 married, 2 divorced, 1 widowed, 3 single, 2 in a relationship and 1 complicated. The average age is around 42.5 years; 3 being in their 60s, 5 in their 50s, 4 in their 40s and 2 in their 20s. Now whilst I wouldnt presume to tell Nina who she can add as a friend, she feels it is her mandate to comment on the actions of others and adjudge those who do not abide by her rules as some kind of pervert. That smacks of hypocrisy. Although I do not have to justify my actions, I will. There are few female members on here who will chat to single males; often the fault of some on here who, as Nina puts it, insist on showing their swords to all and sundry. I try and chat with all female nudists on here who I have deemed as not fake. To establish if they are bona fide I use Tineye and Google Image search to check if any of their pictures appear on porn sites. Aware that some peoples pictures get stolen, I then make a rational decision based on how many and when they appear. An example of what I would deem a fake is a 20 year old whose picture appears eight years ago. Often photos are Friends only so it is necessary to Friend the user before these checks can be made; something I do after a number of conversations. Occasionally I forget to delete those I subsequently class as fake. Ninas actions have actually had a positive effect, prompting me to check through my friends list and do housekeeping. I have had many pleasant chats with them those who pass the above selection. All of my friends share at least one interest with me, such as line of work, beaches visited or a language that I am keen to practise (German, Spanish, French). I try to be a trustee for the younger female members, someone they know will not wave their genitals at them at all opportunities. Nina was a relatively novice nudist so my intention with her was again to provide support. I have plenty of older friends in real life who I can chat to so dont feel the need to have hundreds on here. Nina proudly boasts that she has only 16 friends after 8 months on here; I have been a member here for at least 8 years. What prompted me to write this blog was a recent conversation in the room in which one of the moderators (JodieeLeigh) made a comment which StreetPoet disagreed with and made a comment to the effect where Im from it is courteous to reply when asked a question. I could not resist replying to that with a message of my own in a similar vein, to which I got a reply along the lines of ask one of the young girls you are friends with, and was subsequently blocked by her. Unfortunately Nina having found nudism (through the sorority enforced streak route) now seems to think she is THE world authority on nudism, telling more experienced naturists what to do, and how real naturists think and act. Even in the room, one of her comments to JodieeLeigh was to highlight that she had written 60 blogs on nudism. Nina is studying journalism; unfortunately it seems she will be destined for a career at the seedier end of the journalistic spectrum, unless she learns to listen to both sides of a story before leaping to conclusions. Blocking out an opinion which is different from yours is easy on social media and chat rooms.; It is the actions of a closed mind. I believe Nina is an only child, perhaps her upbringing has convinced her that her opinion is the only one that matters; I fear she may have a rough passage through life unless she reforms. Ninas previous reaction to someone writing a blog about her (she labelled the user as MissCertified) seemed to massage here ego, maybe this will have the opposite effect, but I sadly doubt it, because of course Nude Nina is always right
