Internet Security?

For those of you on Facebook, did you see the news item yesterday about the person who downloaded 170 million, yes million, ID's with any and all personal info including photos? He now has a database with 100 million individuals. Many of the profiles were obtained thru friends who did not have security settings for their friends and they are then opened to the internet. My belief is that the TN "purists" who want all members to show face pics with full nudity are very unrealistic in today's world. Even the DOT driver's license bureaus are in on the system by loading all facial images (now taken without glasses) into a national face-recognition database. You can be identified in seconds from a single facial image. So if you think for one second that ANYTHING you post to the internet is somehow secure, think NOT. As another example of just how wild the security breaches are becoming, I read about a hacker who purchased older ATM machines on Ebay, cracked their servers to gain knowledge on the codes and encryption, and then programmed isolated ATM's to spit out all of the cash in the machine. Where did this info come from? ... a national conference on computer hacking, go figure. He delayed the report one year to give the banking industry time to secure their equipment, and then developed an even more sophisticated program to hack the new security systems. Sleep well my friends. 1984 has come and gone.
