Networking attempts on this site

I have sent many messages to people on this site to network and find out about the lifestyle in their area. I am curious in how they are received in their area and get info about resorts they know of. They read the messages and never respond. I don't always send friend requests because I don't want them to get the wrong idea, but their not responding makes me wonder about their reason for being here. I usually like to think the best about people and consider myself to have an open mind. However when women lists herself as bisexual and posts all over their profile "NO Friend Requests from Guys" but still don't respond to simple questions about where they live when there isn't a friend request involved is just rude and makes me think they are here cruising woman just as much as the men.
