This year I celebrate 10 years in summer missions. The first 2 I worked with Church planting international. WWW.churchplantinginternational.com . I was part of several short term mission trips to Mexico. For the past 7 (this will be the 8th) years I have been at Camp Agape www.campagape.net ) in Benton, TN.span style="mso-spacerun: yes" /spanIf you had told me 11 years ago where I would be today I would have laughed. I know that I have been blessed more than I could ever begin to tell by being part of these ministries. Let me just say in all honesty the only thing I had to bring to summer missions or any other ministry is my availability. Anything else is God given but I am great full to be a part./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"This year I decided to change the focus of this letter and share some of the blessings and answers to prayers that have happened. If I tried to list them all it would take volumes. So I’ll just list a few. Most of these will be related to Camp Agape because I have been there the longest./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font face="Times New Roman" size="3" /font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"1.span style="mso-tab-count: 1" /spanThe launching pad: My first year at camp I heard someone say the camp should be a launching pad for other ministries. This has proved to be true in the number of past staff members and campersspan style="mso-spacerun: yes" /spanwho are now pastors, missionaries and various other roles in ministries./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"2.span style="mso-tab-count: 1" /spanSpreading the gospel: Working in the river ministries at camp give a very unique opportunity to share the gospel with people who may never just walk into a church. Some of these opportunities come from prayer walks, a free meal for river guides on Friday nights and just being available to the people in the river community. The camp also works with several day cares, a food bank and a crisis center all in Polk Co. TN./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"3.span style="mso-tab-count: 1" /spanCherokee Rafting. www.cherokeerafting.com : The owners John and Judy Thomason have not only given me an opportunity to earn some income but they are very supportive of the ministries of the camp. My job there as a bus driver gives me a chance to be a part of the river community. The Thomason family are the kind of people you work with not for./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"4.span style="mso-tab-count: 1" /spanTransportation: I have never been accused of having a new vehicle. All of the vans and trucks that I have had during these past 10 years have had over 100,000 miles on them at least 2 have had over 200,000. The current one is an 87 suburban with over 260,000. In spite of the age and mileage I have never been stranded on the road going to or from TN. Every repair that has had to be made I have either been able to do or have been blessed with mechanics that could do the repairs for a fair price. I think my trucks and vans have been a large part of the faith building process./font/font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font face="Times New Roman" size="3" /font p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"font size="3"font face="Times New Roman"Thank you again for the years of prayer support.
