what is the meaning of nudist?

I am just thinking, what is the meaning of nudist? I am so surprised so many people post his or her picture with his/her face in nudism. I envy their courage and also I am a little bit relieve this community can be quite safe place for all. so my answer above that question will be "be brave," "be honest," and "be trustful"!!
