Why don`t local nudists want to meet up?

I'm a member of various on-line nudist groups and have offered to meet up with other local and not so local nudists for years. Very few want to meet up either to hang nude here, there or just to meet at a coffee shop. I'm wondering why most tend to hide behind their on-line profile. I've been to other countries far away and was able to meet up with other nudists but never one from around the corner. Why is that? Anyway, I'm going to make more of an effort to meet up with local and not so local nudists. If you are local, let's meet up and get to know one another.
