I noticed my post count down this morning & started checking ... another long time member had deleted their account, groups and posts. They'd been here about 15 years, a great supporter of the site, nudism in general and many members along the way. They told lots of good stories, started many active groups, recounted varied adventures through the years and gave good advice to newbies. They were the picture book definition of a 'true nudist' in my opinion. They will be missed, much so ... though probably not a huge number will notice. Why would that be ... is an immediate thought that comes to my mind? Because ... this site is no longer centered around good times & adventures as a real nudist. It is experiencing slow exponential decay ... and there's not much that can be done except by the long absent TT crew and possibly a concerted effort by our dwindling nudist / naturist members. We're largely just watching. But, if you're really interested and concerned about this site becoming a multi-faceted sex (all types) hook up connection, just say a little something. Yep, give someone a gentle nudge towards TS or elsewhere. It's a big endeavor but I think it's worth it. Anybody with me or have any other ideas to contribute? Otherwise ... we're just heading towards the inevitable event horizon ... ughhhh. Not looking forward to that one. Please add your thoughts.

This nudist site has definitely seen a decline in the number of nudists here who corresponded on a weekly if not daily basis. We first joined this site in 2012 as non certified members when every member was allowed to post nude pictures and had numerous friend request from those who were prominently true nudists. Groups were more active in their posting of topics which lead to discussions about members nudist experiences following resort visits, non landed nudist club gatherings and social get togethers with nudist friends in the privacy of their own homes. Itd be great to to see things as they once were on this site again.

I routinely go through my friends and see if they are still around. Believe me I worry about friends that are not on anymore.
One of my friends just had surgery and he has not been back on.

There are some true nudists who are not certified because they don't want to share pictures of the front and back of their driver's license. I am one of them.

The site should definitely be more restricted if you're not certified, for the certified and fully paid lifetime members we should have more privileges and this would help deter the fakes and frauds. Limit the chatroom to once a week unless certified, routinely ban uncertified after 1 hr on chat etc...
Only today i was asked for money to share a nude photograph, that's hardly the point of the site.

This is all off John's topic, people who go missing from the site, can be simply tiredness off TN and all its BS, or can be something more tragic.

I have had the pleasure to be able to chat with many fine people here since becoming a member. Been able to meet a few in person as well. But I am going to go out on a limb here and ask just how many of "us" supporters are also paying members? As a lifetime paid member i don't see any adds so I don't what that looks like, but I know it is not cheap to maintain a site. And I feel joining should be made a little harder. Just saying. And where would we go? Think ill send TN a check.

I agree with you, Heavy completely. You know as well as anyone what it costs to maintain a site. As for where to go, I'm currently a member of Barely ..., Naturist Hub and past member of Just Nudism; there are choices.I, too, would be willing and able to contribute (lifetime member) to TN but I at least want a occasional responseto the many, many emails about taking over a group with a 'long gone' administrator and removal of the straight up porn shots that are found on the Feed everyday. It makes me feel like 'Sisyphus & his rock' with reporting & flagging the trash here. Maybe, TT (totally toothless) team will see this and make a small effort to reverse this trend. And you folks out there, please excuse me in advance. I intend to be a little more assertive with the "PM chat" and "cumonbi" and like wise $ex oriented chat participants. TS can use more members and I intend to start encouraging those folks to visit elsewhere. I would welcome & encourage fellow members to do the same. There's a reason my profile is, hopefully, set to Private now. For the record, my short Chat visit yesterday did not see an abundance of those folks. Maybe it's a trend. We'll see.

I can only speak to our experience with the site, but others have probably felt the same way.

I gave up with TN because of all the fakes, fantasists and sexual deviants who constantly posted nonsense. By all means have your own kink, but this is the internet, there is a place for everything. Dont dress up (pun intended )your perversion as nudism. I left completely for about a year, then I logged back in to see if anything had changed.

Not surprisingly, it had not. Same garbage. I Ignored most of it, but had to comment on some of the misconceptions, misinformation and down right lies that were being posted about places I am very familiar with. Not that it would stop the rot, but I hope some people realise the truth when they read it.

The lack of any moderation on the forums and indifference of TT on many of the non nudist related topics does not endear the site to genuine nudist to invest in it with either time or money.

As for being certified. This means absolutely nothing other than you know how to take a selfie. It doesnt automatically make you a genuine nudist.

TN has the potential to be great, but its always been more interested in membership numbers than the quality of that membership.

This site has people listed who have not logged on for over 10 years or more. I complained that doing a search these ghosts appear and anyone who has not logged in in the past two years should be deleted . It seems that True want the 500,000 plus members for the masthead even though the majority have no logged in for years

I don't see how it effects me in the slightest way and I certainly don't care about the issue. Do I wish that 100% of the members were certified and paid? Absofreakinglutely! If everyone was paid, instead of being a freeloader, then the site owners would have the capital to invest in modernizing and improving the site. Requiring payment and certification would certainly eliminate the fakes.

They can't just take our word for it. Paying would help stop some fakes, certainly the bot generated accounts but not all, who would no doubt see the cost as investment against future income. If anyone has an idea how to prove age and identities without loading docs, please do say. Richie

I first became aware of the existence of TN through an advertising banner on another site. The banner claimed it was the largest site in the world for nudists and had 250,000 members. That was ten years ago, and TN was much more vibrant then, but it was clear that the active membership was only a tiny fraction of the quoted. It now very much smaller than that. I also very quickly realised that quite a lot of the members had a very different agenda than just nudism, and were using this site as a cover for all sorts. Claiming to have a huge membership, is also a dig draw for fakers and fraudsters and with so little moderation, allows them to remain.

The whole point of this post is to start making the bots, fakes & professional $ex workers feel less than welcome. Thats it!! It will take several of us being polite but direct in Chat, Forums & Groups questioning their legitimacy and nudist ideals. TT (Team Toothless) is not going to show up at dawn & rescue their site. If we, the few, real, genuine nudists dont start trying to show folks the E X I T the downward spiral is going to get worse until TN is just p o r n trash. It can be done & Ive started. What do we have to lose?

If you criticize someone's credentials or question their authenticity or call them a fake, you will be banned. Been there. A simple straight line purge of all members not logged in in 10 years and a lot of problems disappear.

Seems to me TN would benefit from an affiliation with an established organization like AANR or TNS, a purging of inactive accounts and cleaning up the gallery. Since naturism is about being free, being certified and full frontal with face should be a requirement and non-issue. Generally suffering from a lack of legitimacy and leadership.

Respectfully, I just want to say I have a few ideas, but I am not saying they will work.

Here is what I think will work:

    1. Make complete "real" Location (City or town, ADMIN. Division or State or Province area, then Nation Country Area) mandatory (for the immediate time now and forever)

    2. Make it a paid website or lose the paywall, don't do the "little bit of paywall" attitude.

    3. If making it a free website, so do not make anyone able to use the site unless proven 18 or up and certified by or "Digital ID" or with "Digitized ID" with a mandatory "location"

    4. If making it a non-free only paid members paywalled website, mandate

    A) All Users Pay and provide a billing address that is the only option for the location

    B) mandate all users Get Certified

    and

    C) mandate that all certification either is by ID submitted by the users or some other form of ID so as to comply with regulations,

or else to go by the suggestion to get a substitute for Passport or Real ID either by

    (a) not requiring Photo ID but other proof of age verification like providing a birth date and verifying it with cryptographic zero-knowledge proof, among other forms, including using Zilch framework for Zero-Knowledge proofs

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-knowledge_proof

    or

    (b) require some form of credit card verification system, such as entering credit card information.

I do not have all the answers, there are several alternatives to these ones that are out there. One could do Photo ID, one could try to do it without photo ID. Some ideas work better than others and it is not my job to decide these choices for the community.

I really wish websites like this could organize well and get rid of the trouble with bots. A site that works similar to this could help spread naturism and social nudism, but not many sites like this exist, and many of the ones that do do not have reach. If this site were to work and get popular, which has not happened, it would be good, but I do not see it happening nor attitudes changing as a result of increased awareness for naturism.

I just could only want for the fakes could just get flagged and blocked by existing users. People need to be aware of how to spot fakes in the mean time. It really saddens me that TN is getting run down right now.

I hope the moderators can listen, because a lot of us of us are bothered. I wish the Admins would listen too, but they must be so busy I think with different things other than listening to users. (trying not to say anything to get me in hot water.)
