Update on the status of the site (Slowness, Maintenance etc) — Announcements on True Nudists on True Nudists

Well the last 2 weeks have been pretty rough. We've reached the peak of what our server can handle and have been trying to transition onto our "Super Sweet" server setup. The site has grown like wildfire and we've got over 75000 users and we're handling over 12 million pageviews a month. The transition to the new server has had a few hiccups but we're almost there. Given that the site hosts around 75GB worth of images, the transition has been slow and tedious. We were temporarily on the server tonight but there was an issue with the algorithm that determines the location of profile images, hence why there were no images to be seen. While we were on the server though, the speed was phenomenal and I'm very excited to get over there. Tomorrow is a new day, and now everything is on the new server. Once I fix these hiccups we should be able to transition smoothly with about 20-30 minutes of downtime total. The new server will allow me to test out some of the new features I've setup for the new site launch which is coming in the next month or so. So stay tuned and thanks for being true nudists.

If T1 were to eliminate all the pictures over your proposed 10 limit for non paid members this site would plummet lower than NCH which would please your buddy Brian over there, we all see how that rates with only 21,000 members. Go try to think. FYI - A much wiser idea would be if T1 gave a free paid account for the top 10 in popularity as incentives for more competitions in posting more and better pics to gain popularity. His number of paid memberships would naturally rise as the gallery grows with more of what people want to pay to see.

I, for one, am disgusted by some of the profile pics that appear on the home page.

Many enjoy seing or showing what type of activities are being enjoyed nude. If you are a photographer, a pic is needed for discussions of techniques most of the time.

[/quote] My point Thomas, was that TT was commenting on how much of the server is taken up with photos. There's plenty of photo hosting sites, or people can create their own personal website. If someone wants to use TN as their photo hosting site, then perhaps they should have to pay a premium fee to do so.[/quote]What part of this message don't you understand, one must be stoned, drunk, or stupid (or likely a combination there of) to not understand it. Note the exclamation point! And by what delusion do you think T1 was complaining about graphic storage space, T1 was bragging about the abundance of graphics on the TN site and how it is growing, as the major content of the TN site is the graphics. And as T1 mentioned he is striving to make TN the top nudist site on the web, using his set of rules not yours, or your interpretation of the rules here. If there were only 10 pics per person here on TN you would be sitting here all by yourself.
