I commented that I was glad to find someone else here in their sixties. The response come back that it was believed that most of us here were in our sixties. So, then I wondered. Here's the distribution by age for certified members.

Age range : Count : Percent of Total

18-29 : 1,255 : 05.8%
30-39 : 4,562 : 20.9%
40-49 : 4,785 : 22.0%
50-59 : 5,395 : 24.8%
60-69 : 3,959 : 18.2%
70-79 : 1,829 : 08.4%
80-88 : 0,000 ; 00.0%

I'm pleasantly surprised that many people aged sixty and up.

Does that stack up the way you thought it would?

I would have experienced a mostly older crowd so I am not surprised.

That is assuming that the ones 40-59 are actually telling the truth about their age. Oh wait, Nobody would ever lie about their age on a website.

Well, yeah, there's that. Don't really know anything about someone you meet online until you meet them in person or have at least been cam chatting with them.

My honey and I only came on here a few months ago. By then, certification meant you were required to show your face and your TN-given ID number in a picture along with a picture of your legal identification. That should mean that anyone who is 'Certified' is the age they are claiming unless they also have a false government-issued ID card. I know a few younger folks have fake ID cards so they can get alcohol, so maybe they are using them to get into nude websites and access to pornography online as well. I'm feeling some naivety coming on here, but I'm betting mensamen's numbers are pretty accurate.

I had been chatting on and off with a guy in the TN chat room, the profile photo was of a man of my age group, he finally agreed to a cam chat, turned out a wiry young man in his 20s, his only defence was that his profile picture was the type of person he wanted to chat too.... go figure...

It has never really occurred to me to not use my own pics, I guess the point of nudism is to be even more yourself in my mind ... if I wasn't prepared to share I'd just leave the profile blank or with some sort of meme vs. someone elses pics (did his demographics match the pic or match the him that appeared on cam?) As for the Age distribution that doesn't surprise me. It takes a lot of us a long time to be comfortable enough in ourselves to live freely and openly as a nudist. The younger ones seem to have been raised in the lifestyle or particularly outgoing and comfortable charting their own path - kinda odd that I am here considering I am not really either but i did have a (older) friend introduce me to the site and I haven't looked back

And, as others have pointed out, we don't have any real indication of the age of the people who are certified, except for those who have submitted memberships after the ID requirement for certification. (I think that gender may be more accurate, unless somebody is going through the trouble of photo-shopping their TN numbers onto pictures of nude models... and for what? They'll be getting the same access to the site as more honest people, unless they're real con artists looking for hookups for profit or some other form of personal gain.)
I don't know where Mensasnem got his info - I'm 80+ amd certified.
Doubtless from the Search function. I just repeated the search - for certified members 80-89 - and it DOES return zero members. And your profile DOES indeed show that you're in your eighties and certified. So, unfortunately, the search results aren't entirely reliable. There's a privacy setting to allow / not allow users to find you in the search function, so presumably you have set that to exclude yourself from search.

Played with the ages on the search function.

    80-81 returns 52 certified members.

But if the upper age is set above 81, then it returns zero. Doesn't make any sense.

Also i'd guess the number of the younger ages to be inaccurate because tn does not remove said profile or names even if they were last here ten yrs ago and not been back since initially signed in... lot and lots of No Activity Names in Searchs
But few, if any, of those accounts would have bothered with getting certified.
I specifically limited the search to "certified" to eliminate fake accounts and those where someone set up the account but never returned, etc.
