Seriously, what's the bloody problem with over 40s? Presumably most people seem to think all the perverts are 40+; and while there maybe an element on here that are; genuine nudists are more common and will happily speak to anyone regardless of gender, race, sexuality and importantly AGE!

outothebakyrdFeb 10, 2015In the last few weeks since I came back to TN I have noticed a big difference from 4-5 years ago. Seems like no one replys to messages either. I wont go into the chat rooms that seems to have always been all about sex. I am an AANR member and all about the True nude lifestyle not what I or anyone else does or wants sexually. I am 48 but it shouldnt matter if I were 100. Human is all thats needed. And breathing.ReactReply - WA

In real life nudist settings we mix with people in many age groups. No one puts a sign up on a beach saying 'No +40's' or 'Over 47 yrs 3 months 2 weeks and 4 days only here'. Real nudists usually don't seem to be bothered by age differences from our long time experience of nudism. It makes me think that at least some of those that put those restrictions up are not true nudists.

I agree with the sentiments expressed. Yet I have several younger friends on the site who care nothing about age. We are all humans with an interest in nudism and nude activities. Yes everyone is different, I just seek those who are likely to have common interests.

The later of my statement goes hand in hand with the former, too. Folks over 40 come from a completely different mind set when it comes to the human body (typically). You had communal showers, didn't think twice to change in front of your mates, didn't have to compete with photoshop to find media imagery you can relate with, and so on. I've even read posts talking about how the old school YMCA was amazing for folks when it came to nudism. These are all great factors that have been lost with time. Now? People my age (as of writing this, I'm 32) and younger than I have had body shame engraved in us. We weren't raised with communal anything (I still remember one time I went to the beach, someone started changing right in front of me in the men's bath area without a care in the world, it gave me a frighten and I left in a hurry LOL), we're constantly told that nudity and sex and mutual inclusive and both are dirty, we deal with imagery that makes anyone feel less, list goes on. The end result? An awesome site that I ran into on accident like TrueNudist has a larger 40+ age group and the rest of us literally struggle to find like minded nudists to relate with. Its not just here, either. There really isn't a site as good as TN (in my experience) and they all face similar age gaps. A damn shame, really. I know I'm not exactly far from 40 myself, but I don't know how to describe how excited and happy I get to find someone even within the 30-35 age group, let alone closer to my age and even a smidge younger. Its nice being able to talk about stuff I grew up with and not get a reaction along the lines of "I have no idea what that is". The reverse is demeaning, too, since if I don't know about something I'm almost guaranteed to hear "you're just too young to get it". It sucks. For the record, though, I'm not one to have "nobody over 40" on my profile. I'm more just understanding and bringing perspective as to why some might.ReactReply

We have far more fake than genuine profiles on here.[/quote] The interesting thing there are about 290,618 members listed in this site, of which only 14,486 are certified which is about 5%, but if you only look at the members who were on this site in the last month it is 23,137 members of which 7,033 are certified or 30% of members.ReactReply

Who is saying 'no one over 40'? Are resorts saying this? That would be stupid. Too bad nudists are so eager to throw away people "over 40", since you don't know anything about life, and how things really work until at least 40. I'm 53, and finally feeling like I've figured things out. Mostly, what I have learned is to not give a crap about what other people think about me. Couldn't care less anymore. There's freedom in that. I couldn't care less how young or old people are, or what they look like. If they respect my values and are fun to be around, good enough for me.

SamMay 12, 2018That works both ways, when I search, I filter for minimum age 65. You are right though, no matter the age group, there are true nudist and folks just looking for titillation. Perhaps what we all miss is that everyone can learn, younger or older, from one another.
