Someone posts a pic (typically a female) and half the comments are of a sexual nature. So sad.
Don't get me wrong here, I'm a guy and enjoy looking as much as the next guy; but I don't feel the need to post a sexual comment to a pic!

I agree, but do not understand why some of the most disgusting comments are not removed. Members can delete comments left on their photos, so by not removing them, they encourage more of the same.

Is it not completely obvious that this is the reason more women are not interested in nudism. So many people claim to be nudist that want to enjoy freedom, and spend time with others, and that they are not in it for sex...yet this happens. Or they virtually stalk the women, etc. I don't blame them for not wanting to visit nudist resorts, sites, beaches, etc. Its something that we really need to work on as a group. :/

I have been on this site for three years. I have not had anyone comment on any of my pictures. Do you get a notification if someone comments on one of your pictures? Or do you need to check them every time you log on?

I recently was friended by a young lady who is new to the site, and I was stunned at the sexual comments left by men on very innocently shot nude photos.  It embarrassed me for her.

It dismays me to read these comments. Whoever is at fault, men or the women; are helping perpetrate a false view of nudism. It makes it easy to undestand why films or movements like Free the Nipple

If you think comments are bad, my partner posted and the amount of private messages wanting sex was disgusting. I have no issues with her getting complimented but her profile says engaged, and platonic friends.

However, it is not my experience that extends to the real world. Many private clothing optional locations I've been the male/female ratio is about even. I have even been obviously outnumbered on occasion. Granted, this is less common with public clothing optional places like Blacks Beach, which have people there just to ogle nude women. I think it is true to say that the places women feel safe being nudist are fewer--this site not being one of them--however, women are no less interested in nudism.

Each and every time the females start a conversation about one thing or another, the guys feel the need or feel they have something to say. Some of these guys seem to think they know women better than the women know themselves and give advice they have no business giving.
A lot of that comes from a flaw in the way the site is set up. When you go to the "newest" button in the forum, you'll see a lot of threads without the label of which forum it is. So I could click on a thread and respond to a post not knowing that I'm in the "Woman's " section. I actually did that once or twice when I was new to the site.
When I've read some of these comments made on my TN female fiend's photos, I look at the profiles of those guys typing these things. It's not surprising how many of them have partners/a wife that is not interested in nudism, or they are single lonely men with no life.

Well, I guess I fall into that category, since while I'm interested in nudism, my wife is not. But I don't post any pictures that aren't mine. And I think that you'll find the same profile of people in any community, textile or nudist. Maybe it's that these people without partners need to have some social connection, appropriate or not. As with any site, after a while you can figure out which posters are legit and which ones aren't.
Remember, just because a man or woman is a nudist and is nude, in person or online, does not give you the right to be ill-mannered and disrespectful them, verbally or in written/typed form.
Amen to that!

A couple of thoughts on the propensity of guys to approach women on the site with sexual comments.

If the site admin would use the tech available to restrict women's groups to those designated as women or couples the problem would be solved.

I dont understand why guys feel the need to hijack those conversation and groups or post the most banal questions in the women's group or discussion forums. I am not on here a part of a couple so regardless of how engaging a question in the couple forum or group maybe I don't chime in there. If I feel compelled to response I can start a thread in an appropriate location and reference what I read in the other group/forum. Why is that so hard for some guys to do?

Well IMO its because many of the guys on here are what some in my neighborhood might call thirsty. They are desperately looking for any attention from a potential sexual partner. It is sad really because it has caused most of the genuine nudist or those interested to flee this site leaving only the fakes which they all clamor to friend like lemmings running off a cliff. SMH

Agree on this. The Ladies forum, and the young forum should be gender and age locked. We need to make the place safer for both those groups

    CanadianBrit wrote:
Agree on this. The Ladies forum, and the young forum should be gender and age locked. We need to make the place safer for both those groups
I agree about halfway on this. I think that the women's forum and young forum should be restricted so that only people of the appropriate age or gender could post there. However, I think it's important that everybody, regardless of age or gender, be able to read what's posted. As Andy pointed out, we men could learn a lot from women who post there about what their issues with men are. And old people would get more of an appreciation of what younger people are going through. But in both cases, we would learn a lot more and show more respect for others if we just kept our hands off the keyboard. Not that it makes much difference on this site, where the moderators seem to have given up on making improvements, but since we all have our ages and genders on file here, it shouldn't be too hard to create some sort of filtering device. If anybody is inspired to start a site that better serves its members, he or she would do well to have such a filtering process in place.

If only. Until or unless this is the norm guys will continue to make this and other spaces unsafe for women.
Agree on this. The Ladies forum, and the young forum should be gender and age locked. We need to make the place safer for both those groups
You're probably right. But I found it noteworthy that a lot of the stuff in the "Ladies Room" is from guys asking women what they think about cock rings, cock size, cut/uncut preference and so on. Guys, these things aren't interesting to women. If they were, it would be women starting the posts and carrying on the dialog. So if you really need to ask these questions, there's always the "Sex and Sexuality" forum.

I think the community operator should finally do his job. The many fake profiles should disappear. These include the many women's profiles that simply send you a friend request and offer nothing on your profile other than a link to sex sites or simply post such a link in groups. There are also those who want to earn money in other ways.
It's not just women who suffer from unenforced guidelines - and that annoys men too. Also, it's not right to demonize men just because there are a few (many) who don't understand nudism.
Agree on this. The Ladies forum, and the young forum should be gender and age locked. We need to make the place safer for both those groups
I completely agree with this. This is the main reason why my wife is not active on this site anymore. She wanted a safe place to learn more about nudism and learn from the women of this site, but every thread she has been in has been hijacked by men. Having a locked ladies forum would help, but the problem would then be men making "women's" accounts to be able to go in. There's already an issue with men making female profiles because women are more likely to communicate with women, this would make it potentially worse. Only solution would be to get certified, but not all women want to do that

Once you submit pictures to the mods that clearly show whether you are male or female, they have a means of putting you in a category. I agree that there are women who might have a problem with that, but I haven't heard of any certification pictures leaking out into the internet. (At least mine haven't, but like most peoples', they aren't good fodder for pornography.)

I just read this morning that, when surveyed, 9 in 10 women would rather come across a bear than a man if hiking alone (that clothed women). That's sad. No wonder there aren't more naked women hikers out there. When I say sad, I mean it sucks that men are so untrustworthy. I can understand why it's not worth the risk for most women, even though it is just the proverbial few bad apples (rare bad apples, hopefully), There are bad bears, too. It does make me even more angry at the pervs that chase women away from this website.

I agree with one qualifier its not that men arent trustworthy its that women cant trust men'sbehaviorin situations when men or women are naked. That puts the responsibility squarely on those 'bad' apples you mention who cant seem think about or with anything than their genitals when naked. Just recently I joined a group chat on another platform meant for "certified nudists". The conversation was a little slow but decent and respectful until someone had the idea to liven things up with talk about hard-ons and using viagra to get the same. How many genuine nudist women want to jump into a conversation like that. The bad apples chase away both women and men who don't want to deal with crap like that. As for the original thread about sexual comments, the only useful thing about those is, if you get one that's an overtly sexual one, you can always block that person. I don't know if your blocking that person shows up on their feed, but if it does, a few dozen "block" responses might give them a clue.

A thumbs up/thumbs down or like/dislike feature would be nice for responding to comments.
