It has been brought to my attention that I have been blocked by a certain member. I wish there was some way that I could ask what I did to offend them. I am a certified, lifetime member and certainly would not intentionally do something to offend someone. Based on their profile we had several things in common and I thought we could become friends. We even chatted several times. If anyone else has had a similar issue, I would appreciate hearing how you handled the situation.

Don't fret it.you will drive yourself bonkers. People can easily misinterpet anything and over react. Don't take it personal and move on to other members. The online community is even nuttier than real life.

at my profile, I looked at theirs and got blocked.

I wouldnt worry about it. There are plenty more people in this community you can be friends with. Not everyone works out.

I've had it happen to me several times, I now just block them in return so I won't see their message in the future.

Every person has his own reasons. Dont take it personally and just move on.
One reason I have I blocked or unfriended is TN only allows a very broad control over cross feeds. I tend to limit my friends and generally enjoy seeing their group posts, media, etc. If one friends posts or media start to dominate my feed, there is no way to mute that friend without muting all friends. Unfriend or block is the only solution.
I have been unfriended and blocked over the years and just take it as the other persons issue not mine.

I also have found that I was blocked, but the real interesting thing is that it was someone I never looked at before till I saw they were a new friend of one of my friends so I went to look at who they are a saw I was blocked... I found that odd and puzzling. Other sites with this feature doesn't so much block the profile it is set up to block the person you want from sending you messages.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I do appreciate it. There are lots of great people on here. I was hoping to find out what I did to this person so I wouldn't don't again.

I've been criticized and blocked just because I have gay friends and connections.....
Who needs narrow-minded friends like that anyway?

I understand completely on being blocked...its as if youve run afoul of someone without any idea of wrong doing. The vast majority of the nudists here enjoy conversations but will never agree on everything. The idea of blocking another for a difference in ideas is to perpetuate ignorance. Conversely...if a person visits my profile & views several pictures and I try to view theirs (looking for mutual interests) & its private...thats cheating. I will then normally block that person. If you want to say hello & then view my profile...thats ok.

There are a couple of guys on TN that befriend and then block. Probably steal photos. They then moved to some friends, and then blocked them! Its become a noticeable pattern.

I was blocked by someone and I just figured it is a matter of being recognized. I think some guys want to be anonymous due to professional reasons or are somehow embarrassed and when they are discovered by someone they know they freak out and block you. Just know you can block them back. I think its immature and stupid. Being a mature adult would require acknowledgment that maybe you just aren't a match or you aren't interested in being a friend. Fine, I'll move on, I'm a big boy and recognize that I may not be who you want, just man up and tell me. That is the mature way of handling things, especially if you are certified. I know there are a lot of phony people impersonating someone they aren't, that's why I appreciate being certified. Don't take it personally, you are better off not getting involved with someone like that anyway.

I 100% agree with you. I have found that some when they read your profile and it says "GAY" they just block you in a very nasty matter.

I have people visit my profile and then block me. Anyone that blocks me is just letting me know they are not really a nudist and are most likely a fake profile.

First of all, I joined this site because I wanted to get connected with other nudist people. I paid my dues to become a lifetime member and got certified. As a newbie in this lifestyle, I started browsing profiles that I think I would like to make connections with. I sent them an honest, simple and polite messages and same thing happened to me. I noticed that I have been blocked mostly by couples or straight men and even those members that I didnt sent any messages but only went to check their periods to see who they are, also blocked me. Why???

If you are a real nudist and you chose to join this site and posted some picture whether a naked one or not, why would you be offended or blocked someone who went to check you profile or pictures? I am married but my wife is not aboard in this so I am doing this alone as a single married. I am not here to look for sex but rather to connect with people and make friends within the nudist community. In the end, I only have 1 woman and 2couples that be-befriended me due to the fact that a lot of couples are hypocritical in nature towards a married single nudist. Thats why most of my friends here are either bi-sexual or gay man who are much more accepting to men like me in my situation. Having gay/bi friends doesnt necessarily mean that I am looking for sex or I am a pervert. They are just more welcoming and true to themselves. I am not saying that there are not perverts in here. Sure there are a lot and people who are only looking for sex and these are the people who are ruining our community as naturist. I was hurt in the beginning when I found that there are profiles who blocked me just by simply viewing their profiles as I didnt do anything wrong at all. If you do not want anyone to view your profiles or pictures, why would you even join this site and post pictures? Isnt that hypocrisy???

I am glad that I am told by some of my TN friends to ignore them and just moved on as there are more better people that i can meet here than them and its true. Life is too short to waste my time to dwell on these hypocrite, narrow minded and judgemental people who blocked and judge me just because I have more friends that are gay/bi. Let us just spread love rather than hate especially on what is happening now in the world. We are in a brink of a possible WW3. Last night, I accidentally watch the news and I started crying seeing all these people fleeing their own country (Ukraine) for their safety. I refused to watch any news as I know this will happen. Sad but true but it is happening. Peace to everyone.

I was blocked by someone who was apparently upset because I posted a recipe on their public group. They wrote me a rather nasty message then blocked me so I could not reply back, All I could do is shrug my shoulders and move on. It takes all types in this world.

i have been blocked by a few sometimes with no logically explanation . One guy chatting from Ukraine last year told me I was not allowed to
discuss anything about the country. This was long before the current war, and all I had posted was that I very much enjoyed my time
exploring it in Sept 2019. I toured Chernobyl and he told I should not have and not to mention it.
Another guy accused me of killing his grandparents since I wore a mask only when required here in Indiana. His grandparents lived in Texas.

So some folks have their own reasons that make sense only to them. Best to just ignore them and don't try to think like them.

Sorry you got blocked by someone on this site. Not all 20 or 30 somethings are ageist. I made a great friend from this site, who's about twice my age. We call each other at least once a week. ;) Hope you get to have a better experience of this site soon. Take care.

Understood. Most arent. But I do see a noticeable amount of ageism from younger people who assume anyone over 35 is a creeper.

I just posted (yesterday) a short blurb about this same topic in the General Discussion forum as I did not see this one. As noted here, sometimes you just dont have a clue as to what happened and its annoying. But as said, press on and do what you can, the other stuff will work itself out.

People preemptively block for all kinds of reasons related to who the like and dont like and personal rules that they have. Best to not make to much of it and go about your business. Chalk it up to personal choice.
