When God created us , he never planned for to be clothed, so why do we have join ANRA to go to a resort hours away and pay there, just to do what God planned for us?
I mean we have these nude activities all across our country, and around the world. Textiles flock to them , they bring their kids, nothing happens, no one gets raped, no fighting, everyone gets along ,
I am not saying we should be naked in our front yards, but with nudism being popular and the health benefits, we should have places where we could go in our community without having to drive for hours and spend money

Al or Alex or AlexanderSep 4, 2024I do agree with you up to a certain point. Here in Florida (capital of the nude resorts of the world, as far as I know, since we do have 34+ nudist resorts but one must pay to go in, which I do understand since you will be using the installation) we do now have a few clothes optional free beaches like Haulover Beach in North Miami Beach (South Fort Lauderdale if you wish) Blind Creek Beach in Fort Pierce, and a few other not 100% legal but allowed, we are fighting to have at least one in the West Coast. But going back to my point, here in Florida, one can be as naked as one wants, in front of the house, in the back, where ever one wants, as long as is not in a ludicrous way, and is 100% legal. In some HOA places might be not allowed but a local law can't be above State law. Is just a matter of AANR and the other nudist groups to fight for the right to be as one wants in their own home.

JohnSep 4, 2024I, too, wonder what happened when we evolved from clothes-free ancestors, and why nudity is seen as abhorrent and deviant. And I reflect that only two hundred years ago, every beach in Hawai'i was a clothing optional beach, and now there are only a couple of out-of-the-way ones.
As long as nudity is equated with sexual activity in the public mind, there will always be hostility towards being naked.

nkhikerSep 9, 2024We live in a capitalist system. Imagine if there was big money to be made off nudism. As it is we have no pockets for our wallets. As for me, I mostly don't pay for my nudism, but I can't easily. I need to drive 4 hours to get to anywhere that will take my money so I have to satisfy my naked needs by walking around the mountains naked like bigfoot--a true naturist--although, I'm only a size 12. The one place I do readily pay so I can socialize with other naturists is a not-for-profit hot springs--a very unresort like resort. They charge to keep the place up and clean. They also have to control access or it would be chaos. Weaving back to the beginning, I don't think nudist, and especially those who consider naturism as something different, don't feel they should pay to get naked. Paying to socialize is a little different--It's like club dues. And yes, it's a numbers thing. There's not enough of us.

DanFeb 11, 2026There are places you can go nude freely in public in the USA, just they are either limited and sometimes difficult to get to like public nude beaches or states/cities that have very relaxed laws on public nudity. Unfortunately, those areas that are technically legal to be nude but arent designated places like nude beaches not everyone appreciates the legality of it and may still call the police on you and even the police may not be aware of the intricacies of the law and still arrest you for "lewd behavior" which is often a separate law violation than just being nude. Of course, some other countries have less restrictive nudity laws and others have more restrictive nudity laws. I wish there were more places we all could go nude in public places/parks/beaches but sadly our society is not ready for that nor do I think it ever will be.
