When to use a towel to sit on?

  The towel etiquette at resorts and other public venues is of course aimed at hygiene because the furnishings are used by everyone.  So I'd say in those settings children, even youngsters should be taught to sit on towels.  But at home with your own stuff and their play equipment, I wouldn't think it was necessary.

  Not to sound gross or anything, but I think it's even more important for children to use a towel than adults.  They are learning how to wipe and don't always get everything.  Well, that's my line of thinking at least. lol

  It really is NOT too much trouble to carry one around with you at a resort, and frankly I do at home, too.  For the same hygeinic reasons I just don't want to take a chance.  Paid too much for my furniture, lol!

  I too, have seen many photos of nudist situations sans towel. It does make one wonder, but one also doesn't have to think about it very long to see the logic of always using a towel, wash rag, something.

  That is irrelevant about nudist photos without towel.  The fact remains that it is common courtesy to take no chance of exposing others to your body fluids.

He only used the pictures without towels.[/quote]    Then he wasn't a GOOD professional photographer!  We have several small black towels that we use.  A) our rearends have gotten big enough to cover most of it and B) if there is any towel showing that detracts from the picture...that is what photoshop is for!  Bet that same photographer had NO problem wasting time in photoshop or with an airbrush "smoothing" cellulite!  Good for you, Nicky, for refusing!

  In this day and age, with all the possible viruses and bugs going around, doesn't it make sense to sit on something a little softer than a deck or a rock?
  A towel or a little blanket usually go with me in the truck, just in case I have the urge to stop somewhere and strip down!

If what's between me and whatever is mine, then I pretty much know where it's been.

  when sitting in a chair or lounger i think a towel is necessary but when i sit on edge of pool i usually sit on my bare butt on the concrete, when my kids were little they were usually to busy in the pool or running around to sit on a towel and when they did they sat on the edge of ours.

  1.       That’s not a “to be or not to be” question. It’s a must always use towel , ( home or not ) it’s just common cense…
  2.       I have read here some colorful names such as “skate marks” and such.
  I don´t judge but I highly recommend “baby wipes” (and not only for us nudists)… unless you are one of the above mentioned “leaking “, problem solved ….
  3.       The way you educate your kids is what they are going to be when growing old , just because its much more comfortable to “let them be” for now , doesn’t mean you should!
  kids are Like a tree , what happens now , stays in the Trunk for the rest of times.

Maybe not in the same quantity, but still...that is why it is good to wash your hands often.

  I think you lot have been watching FAR too many episodes of Mr Monk!Germs were on the chairs, on the door handles, and on the carpet, yesterday, and the day before and even last year! There are MORE germs on your chopping board, than there is on your toilet seat! GET OVER IT! ... of course we need to wash our hands frequently and practise good hygiene. BUT, don't get paranoid! It is also a FACT! ... that kids of today, have a WEAKER immune system than we did, because there mums go round disinfecting everything in sight! ......... GrrrrrrrrrrrAhhhhhhh! ........   Oooooooo! ..... I feel better now!
