Beards and Sunscreen

I grew a beard for the first time over the winter.
For those of you who have one, do you use sunscreen on the part of your face that it covers or leave it off like your scalp?

    I use a spray sunscreen on both beard and scalp. Especially the scalp because my hair is very thinning.
