We love this island and this beach. Its got the basics, chairs and umbrellas, but there are restaurants/cafes along the beach including the Perch Bar on the nude beach. Good food and drink. Nice people. Beach is sheltered by a small island which keeps swells from the Atlantic to a minimum. Great spot !

It was even better when the Club Orient nudist resort was open. The Perch bar menu was a little more basic but they also had a full service restaurant (Papagayo) with entertainment 4-5 nights a week. They also had a market and general store plus a gym onsite. All of it was nude use. The ruins of some of the buildings are still there. Our favorite cabins were the mini suites which were made of wood and are nearly gone now, reclaimed by the jungle.

I was there last February on a cruise. It is a very nice beach but you can tell that used to be a lot more.

We stayed at Club O only once but it was a wonderful place ! As mentioned above you could be nude anywhere. There considerably more sand than is left now. They removed the remains of Papagayo in last two years and with it more land was lost. But what remains is still great to have, so many places it seems are gone , for communal nudity.

Do many people do that or are you in a small minority?

Orient Beach is where my wife and I had our first experience with social nudity. We were on the "regular" part of the beach and my wife surprised me by suggesting we walk down and see what the nude section is like. We loved the feel and how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Soon we were both naked, and we spent all the rest of our trip there except for a day at Happy Bay and a day on Pinel. We've been back every year since then.

The beach called Orient Beach at the Orient Bay is a nice area for the nudists. It is an area in French Saint Martin.

I first heard about it online after discovering naturism on YouTube on a podcast that was about naturism. I first really heard about it a while ago.

I became a naturist around 19 years old and had no problem with my parents accepting my ways.

The old resort at Orient Bay looked really beautiful before Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, and then the old hotel resort thad was called some name it had before it was closed because the hurricane damage. It used to have a website.

I think it was recently rebuilt, but I have not independently verified, so I am going to have to check if the hotel resort rebuilt along the beach. It was damaged rather badly until some people have begun to re-invest in the property in the last two years or around that timeframe, plus or minus some years.

I wish the best of luck for the local nudists in the Saint Martin area and for visitors to the other nude beaches and to Orient Beach in St Martin.

I recently visit Saint Martin and another place recently. I liked both places. I didn't make it to Orient Bay on that visit, so I might try if I visit St Martin at some other time.

If you are talking about the nudist resort on Orient Beach, it is Club Orient (mentioned above). They still sort of have a [link]/link/7f3a902f19a108f4/aHR0cDovL3d3dy5jbHVib3JpZW50LmNvbS9zdGFnaW5nLw%3D%3D[/link]website. It was our first nudist experience as well, and it was such a great experience that we continued exploring different nudist venues such as local resorts and cruises. It is kind of sad what has happened to the Club Orient grounds. We spent a week in Orient Village this February and spent every day on Orient Beach. We walked through what is left of Club Orient and there isn't much left. Wooden buildings are basically gone other than their concrete pads, leaving a few cinderblock chalets, a couple of staff buildings, and the old store/office still standing.

Yes, Club Orient was the one more oriented to "French naturism" or the "Naturists" from what I gather. I do not know everything about the rest, but I remember seeing that it was destroyed in Irma or Maria and that there were not many remains from the storms in 2017 or later.

I remember it was Club Orient.

And yes, that is a different group from the newer one, "Residence Adam and Eva."

That one came at a different opening year that was different from the year in which the opening of Club Orient occured.
