anyone paddling canoe , kayak , float ? the heat snuck up on me as usual and everyone I talk or chat with hasn't put any kind of boat in the water . I use to go a couple times a week in my canoe every year till this year and even with fishing i've hit a block . I know it will pass even with hiking when I go to camp I just want to lay by the pool and tan than jump in the pool to cool off.. whose actually still paddling and are you nude which is another problem .

Jul 18, 2026I am still paddling, at least some. Weather here has been rather unusual. It is the middle of the Texas summer and we just finished a week of temps in the 70's and rain. A LOT of rain. Some of my favorite paddling rivers as at flood stage right now so not a good idea to go there. Now that the rain has passed we are headed for the high 90's and triple digits for a while. I have done some fishing but mostly as an Angler Education Instructor at kid fishing events around the middle part of the state.
I do have my boat washed, cleaned, and ready for the water once things settle out.

wow yes sadly I see the flooding going on there crazy weather , heat use to not bother me but i'm in my 70's and some days the heat drains me and I have to take it easy . hopefully September I can enjoy my canoe more .

Hope that works out for you. At 81 I can assure you that the years don't get any kinder as we age.
