Anyone remember Health & Efficiency Magazine, was my bedroom staple lol. Shame they air brushed out the pubic hair as these girls look fabulous.

Great that you had the confidence to submit your photos and you are obviously proud that they chose to publish them. Rob is not circumcised but we have both preferred the smooth look for well over 30 years and me before that. Wish we had had the same confidence back then.

Guessing H & E was a magazine in the US. There was Sun & Health here in Australia but I think the printed version is finished sadly.

Yes H and E magazine is still going and I regularly pick a copy up from the newsagents. Just picked the latest one up last week and hoping to submit some photos. Natural and hairy is the best way.

H&E hard copy can still be purchased in the UK from WH Smiths or now called TG Jones, you are right Natasha it's also online

We're with you 100% on your bush vs. bare attitude. My wife has been smooth since she was 17 and I mentioned that I liked women that way. It took be a couple of years to join her because, obviously, there's more to shave. But we will never go back to the "full bush" days.

H & E (Health and Efficiency) magazine is a British publication that has been around for decades and decades. First published in 1918. Previously it was under the names Vim and Health and Vim since around 1900. I started buying it since the early 1970's when living in Germany. I had every issue, including specials, etc., up until the early 1990's. Then a few years ago I donated my whole collection, plus naturist books, pamphlets, handbills, Australian, German, Canadian and Kiwi magazines, other publications, etc. to the FCN (Federation of Canadian Naturists) library, located on the grounds of Bare Oaks, a premier Canadian naturist resort.

We had H&E delivered I think once a fortnight and it was always around the house when we were growing up. Back then (late 60s early 1970s) it was very popular in the UK naturist world as well as some other nudist magazines. Brother and I were in it in early 70s with a photo of us doing archery at a UK club. Still have a copy somewhere. I did buy into the 2000's but find it has too much about foreign travel which is of less interest to me.

I used to read H&E quite regularly back then too. I think they produced it monthly, along with four seasonal special editions and the odd extra one here and there. Funnily enough I was in a photo published in it where archery was the activity, although this was a bigger group shot than your one with your brother sounds like, with you two seeming to be the main people in it. I've been in other photos since, the last time was about 10 years ago at a nude meal in a pub with about 50 others.
I thought that H&E had quite a bit about nude places abroad back then too, my memory could be confusing me though. It is where I first learned about quite a few of the places that I've since stayed at on nudist holidays, as well as UK clubs and beaches. It certainly played a part in opening up more places to meet other nudists and help make life more naked.

I don't subscribe to H&E but I know people who do. They were wondering where their June copies were before the news broke last week that it has new owners and it will be in a digital format only now. A sign of the times, but its sad all the same to know that the last freely available magazine in the UK for those who prefer life naked and free has gone that way.

Just wondering how many readers will they lose by going digital?? I know I woldd mot be bothered with it any more!! I stopped buying the hard copy for quite a few years ago due to lack of availability.

That is sad to hear - - it was a regular fixture at home growing up in the late 60's early 70s. Still have quite a few from that period through to the 90s.

They seem to have only been told at the last minute. Some are looking at asking for a refund as they want what they paid for, the printed option. The short and minimalist notice seems to have really annoyed people, understandably. But there may be something like legal restrictions influencing this. There is speculation that in recent years the subscriptions have grown outside of the UK, while dropping there, so as the digital version can be seen anywhere online that fact may have heavily influenced the change.

I've got a few copies still, mostly issues that feature events or places that I was at. As you said earlier H&E was popular in the UK nude community in the past. I remember seeing it at clubs for anyone to read and at friends' homes, Before the internet became the main go to place for information on clothes-free living and socialising it was very useful for finding out about where we could go to enjoy being nude. I certainly learned of nude beaches, clubs and events through it.
