Naked Gardening Day will soon be upon us. I have no numbers, and I suspect they don't exist, but I won't be surprised if the participation in this event is greater than the World Naked Bike Ride. The difference is the WNBR is a social event that takes place in public. A few years back, I found a social NGD event, and it is a highlight of my spring every year. It would be great if more of these events were you volunteer to help a community garden by weeding and planting happened, and the draw was being able to garden for the nude. My new property has a lot of garden beds, and I could use the help. However, I need to do a few things to increase the privacy level, but one day hope to host a NGD event. Does anyone else have something special planned for NGD or have any aspirations for future events?

ShawnApr 18, 2026I think the best thing we can do here for WNGD is make it work for my partner and I in our limited private space. The goal is to make the entire area "nudeable" without a concern but that will take some time. It might be a modest way to recognize the day but at least we'll be naked and so are others.

I did not know there was an official Nude Gardening Day. I occasionally get to garden nude when I help friends on their large garden. They have no objection to me working naked. I guess I should try to help at their house on official Nude Gardening Day.

I always try to make a special effort to be working naked in the garden on WNGD,and I like to see if I can get a textile person to try it with me. This year, however, looks to be way too cold to be out in the garden naked. Might have to settle for working in the greenhouse.

Hey there, todays the day. But since Im always busy in the garden anywayand go naked when the weathers niceIm more tempted to be out in the sun today. Finally, finally, we can go wild outside in nature again. Our friends not exactly known for our gardening skills around here. They are better at cooking or harvesting. (Or giving massages, lol). And when we paint something together, the paint sometimes ends up on each other. Just imagine a bunch of cats all tangled up, playing tag and wrestling in the sun. Come to think of it... I havent been fishing in a long time. Maybe todays the day, and then well throw the catches on the grill tonight.

Hope you all had a chance to do a little gardening. I worked prepping and planting beds in a greenhouse with ten other naked gardeners, most of whom I just met. The ranch fixed us bison burgers for lunch. It was a good day all around. The only downside was that you still can get sunburned in a greenhouse. It wasn't bad, but I still wish I had spent more attention to my sunscreen.

PaulMay 26, 2026This year it rained a lot (which we needed) so very little gardening was done but any gardening day/evening is a naked gardening day if it warm enough.
