European locations missing under the headline "Locations"

European locations are totally missing under the headline "Locations". I understand that most members here are from US, but since the membership of the site is growing there are MANY from other parts of the world. Would be great to add locations in Europe, Australia, other parts of America in addition to US (many Canadian members!) and there might even be some locations in Asia. Probably none in Africa, but would be happy if I'm wrong.
So please sitekeepers, put some effort on extending the page "Locations".
/Andy

There is the "Suggest a Location" form.  A couple of weeks ago, I filled out the form for the Vritomartis resort in Greece.  I provided a link to the resort's webpage and the resort's e-mail address.  As of yet, the resort has not been added to the locations list.  I suspect that the webmaster is simply overwhelmed.  I searched the locations list for some other large European resorts and did not find them.
Sorry to say the webmaster has been overwhelmed for five months now. It's five months since I posted the first suggestion to add non-US locations and so far I have got no reaction at all, not even a "Sorry, so busy, will ask someone to fix it". That's a pity. /Andy
Can only add that the interest from the webmaster of the site for this request has been zero also during the last seven months. As you can see I posted my first post regarding this in January 2009. That was after sending a direct request to the webmaster AND proposing new locations at the location page. European locations are of no interest, in spite of the fact that there are so many European members at the site. Not even the argument that US people sometimes visit Europe and other parts of the world seems to be an enough convincing argument. Pity - there are several good European locations that should be added, like Cap d'Agde in France.

Is it surprising that it has not been seen to be a priority?   Of the 28,000 members, only a handful are complaining, and of those, (after nearly two months) no one has supported the System that I have set up to create an index for world wide locations.   You simply create a new group for your State/Region. Post your Locations details on IT'S forum, then I link YOUR group forum list, to a main index on the "Locations Home" group forum.   That way we end up with an individual list for each State/Region, linked to a list of States/regions, that is listed under each Country, on the "Locations home" group forum. Sounds complicated, but it makes sense when you see it!LOCATIONS HOME.  (((( NEW ! ))))

The system Phil have constructed for location information might work, good luck. Seems very complicated, but might work for those that spend most of their time at the TN site. I don't.  But for Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and Denmark) you find all the needed information at a site run by the National Naturist Associations in those countries. It's a site run by non-commercial, membershipbased organisations. No need for us from Scandinavia to use time on complicated group and forum systems here at TN.The Scandinavian Naturist Portal, all about naturism in Scandinavia:http://www.naturistnet.org//main.php?site_id=102You're all welcome to all the naturist beaches and camp sites all over Scandinavia! And in Sweden you're free to walk in all forests, finding a nice lake somewhere and take a dip in a more or less secluded surrounding. That's during summer, when writing this we have a thick layer of snow all over Sweden. And yes, I'm still complaining over the lack of response from the site creator. In one year, not a sight of answer to several requests, sent in various ways. That's still ennoying.

An example of what Phil is talking about can be seen herehttp://www.truenudists.com/group/2245which lists Canadian locations by province. It can be accessed directly or through Phil's group herehttp://www.truenudists.com/group/1178/It can be set up by country, example  - UK, France, Germany or by area example - West Europe, East Europe, Australia and once set up it requires little in the way of maintenance other than checking daily to see if there are new postings. Once it is operational send a link to Phil so he can include it in his Locations Group

I totally agree with you.  We are Americans living in Italy and we would love to see European Locations.  We have visited a couple of areas here in Italy and found them all enjoyable.

Please see post #37 for a workaround. Not the ideal situation but at least it can provide a resource.
