I guess the question i have is have you ever gotten nude in front of non nudist friends? or have you ever asked non nudist friends if they wanted to get nude with you?
Wonder if some of our current friends would also love to get nude with us but everyone is afraid to ask LOL.

ShavedNudist27Jan 16, 2020I have several friends at the gym that I workout at. While in the locker room, I am nude until it is time for me to leave. I have never had a comment from any non-nudist guy's there.

totaltanjimApr 30, 2020Being a life long introvert, I do not have that many people that I would call friends and no, I have not been nude in front of them because all of them are uncomfortable seeing me nude.
There have been some non-nudist acquaintances that I have been with while I was nude.
The first time was by accident, the other times were with permission (sort of)
I have posted about these before but it has been a while so here goes again.
The first time happened when I was working after hours. As usual I was nude. Normally I make sure the doors are closed and locked however this day I neglected to close and lock the side door.
I had just put the money in the safe and was walking toward the front of the shop when all of a sudden in comes one of my regular customers. He had seen my car still in the lot and was hoping to get some items for a job he had in the morning.
I started to apologize and say he caught me changing but then decided to simply tell him I was a nudist and normally worked after hours nude but if he was bothered by my nudity I would put my shorts on.
To my pleasant surprise he said It was fine if I stayed nude. He was there for about 15 minutes as I pulled his order. As he was leaving I thanked him for is understanding and allowing me to stay nude.
After this incident I made it a point of telling my regular customers that I was a nudist and that if they came in after hours I would be nude.
I am glad to say all of them said that in the off chance they came in that it would not be a problem. It turned out that one of them also liked to be nude and had visited nudist resorts and beaches but said he could never be nude in a non-nudist setting. He did come into the shop a couple of times while I was nude but since he was also a nudist it does not meet the conditions of this thread.
A few months later, I was making a delivery to another customer after work.
I had a key to his shop and normally stayed nude when there.
This one time, he called me while I was on my way to make sure I was bringing out the order.
He said he would still be at the shop. I jokingly said does that mean I have to be dressed?
Again to my surprise this customer also said it is OK if I did not want to. I asked him again if he was sure and he said yes.
Naturally I showed up nude.
I think he was surprised that I actually did it but after the initial shock it was business as normal.
As I have said many times in many posts, most people do not have a problem with seeing someone nude simply going about their normal daily activities.
Also we need to let as many people as reasonably possible know that we are nudist.
You may be surprised at their response and may even find they like to be nude as well.ReactReply - MA
MarkMay 13, 2020I have always informed all friends soon after becoming friends. I usually just say I just wanted to let you know I am a nudist so you are not surprised by me being naked if you come by. Never had anyone join in and only one offended ever after being told (think they thought i was kidding) so it has worked well for me. Rented 2 rooms in my house out for a while as well to non- nudist
Note: over the past few years i have visited the neighbors around me while dressed to get to know & make conversation. I usually give them about a month before i let them know i am a nudist. other than a few peeking over fences a few times when they see i am outside, none have ever complained.
I believe if one is to truly fee comfortable and free as a nudist, they should become unashamed of others knowing. The world can't be expected to become more accepting if they a unaware someone in their friend group is a nudist. You also can't scare away a true friend

KelllyMay 26, 2020Of course. The most recent instance was with a powerlifting buddy. He is 30 years younger than me. My buddy gave me a ride to the site of the powerlifting meet where we were both going to compete. It was 40 miles from our gym and we had to weigh in the day before the meet. After checking in, we entered a small room with a scale. There was a rack with hangers, as it usually is the coat check room. My buddy weighed in with shorts and a T-shirt. I had removed my shoes and socks. I took off my shirt and put it on a hanger as he was being weighed. When it was my turn, I unbuckled my belt, unzipped my fly and pulled off my pants and was fully nude. I put the pants on the hanger as well. My buddy became a little serious and his voice deepened. I turned around to step on the scale. He placed his hand on my shoulder and guided me onto the scale. The meet official was on the other side of the scale and looked directly at me the entire time. I was completely comfortable being nude. The official was totally cool about it and unfazed. After all, he was going to weigh 100 male lifters that day on a doctors scale, many of them nude. Once I dressed, my buddy and I seemed to have a bond that had not existed before.

globalnudeboyJul 9, 2020Over the years I have travelled with non-nudist friends - both male and female - with whom I have never had intimate relationships. As we have been sharing rooms - and as sleeping naked is a non-negotiable feature of my persona - it has been unavoidable that I have exposed them to my naked body in its full glory. I have never sprung this as a surprise to anyone of them. All first-time travel companions have been duly informed in advance - and offered the option of separate rooms. Nobody has ever opted for the separate room. One of my travel companions became more regular than the others. While not converting to nudism - she became more and more comfortable with my nudity and as a result I spent more and more time naked in the room - even during daytime. She started displaying some nudity herself by not sneaking into the bathroom when changing clothes and by not closing the bathroom door when showering. She also started joining me to nude beaches whenever we encountered them during our travels. And when the beach was not crowded and we had our own corner - she skinny-dipped with me - but would not do it in front of strangers ...

JohnJan 6, 2021I've been in this situation a few times. I traveled cross-country three times with a (female) friend, and there were two beds in the camper. I took one, and she took the other. There was no sexual involvement. She saw me naked every day when I went to bed or got up in the morning, and had no problem with that, although she chose to wear a nightgown. That might might have been because she was a breast cancer survivor, and might have felt self-conscious about the scars from that.
And I've been in situations in hot-tubbing where there was the occasional person who declined the opportunity to be nude. But we respected that.
I hope to be installing a small hot tub and will be inviting my friends over to share it. It will be understood that I'll be naked, but it's up to them to decide whether to be naked or not.

Use common sense. 2. No swimsuits allowed. I have done a pretty good job of enforcing them and as a result gotten many textiled friends and passing travelers to strip downReactReply - NUnudeyooperJan 8, 2021
I just say that nudity is required because the detergents left in any kind of clothing throw the chemical balance off. It does not matter much because it is almost never a communal affair.

JohnJan 8, 2021I have not heard that. Is there any source beyond word-of-mouth about this?

Is there any source beyond word-of-mouth about this?
As a hot tub owner that occassionally has people wearing suits in it (young Nieces and Nephews birthday pool parties) I can attest to how it degrades the water quality in the hot tub (Pool is big enough, not so much). After one of these parties, I generally just drain the hot tub and refill with clean water. The water becomes quite cloudy from the laundry detergent. While defoamer can take care of the soap bubbles, it takes a good shock and clarifier treatment to clear the cloudy water, and it's not still not nearly as crystal clear as it should be. Easier to just drain, clean, refill, as it usually about that time anyway. John aka cobeachbumReactReply - JO
JohnJan 10, 2021I'm in a quandary about this. On the one hand, I'd want to make sure that there was no excessive soap or detergent in the hot tub, to make maintenance easier and to conserve water (a serious consideration in our current California drought). On the other hand, I consider that, as a host, it is my duty to make sure that guests are comfortable, and would not want them to feel that they are welcome.
Maybe the solution is to insist that, if they wish to wear garments in the hot tub, they run them through their washing machines first, without adding soap. That way, they'll get rinsed twice: once during the wash cycle, and once during the rinse cycle. I expect that this will reduce the impact of detergents on the water.

JohnJan 11, 2021
I notice that almost all of the firms that sell the smaller hot tubs recommend that users take a bath or shower beforehand. Would skipping that step be the cause of the water getting dirty? When I shared a house with a hot tub, I don't remember that being a requirement. But then, most of us soaked in the nude.
Body oils will take there toll, especially when heavy applications of lotion are invovled, but it is no where near what laundry soap, body soap, make-up, and shampoo do. For all that has or had swimming pools they know the art of keeping the water clean and balanced . I never knew a person that wanted to get into a hot tub that wasn't clean or in pristine looking water. It's a different thing to maintaining a 100 degree pretty much a bath than a pool.
It's worth for some for aches and pains and some it is not practical. What I can say in our nudist experience is... build it and they will come !

Guzzi27Jan 12, 2021Going back to the OP. Yes I have been naked in front of a few clothed friends. My, textile, wife has a few friends that have caught me naked over the years. None of them have been worried about it and after a few occasions have made it clear that it isnt an issue as far as they are concerned. Consequently I dont bother rushing to get dressed if I am naked when they turn up. Sometimes I will get dressed but often dont bother if they are around for a short period. But if they have been invited round for something like dinner I will make sure I am dressed before they arrive.
Not that that has been an issue in the last few months with Covid and the guidelines in the UK.ReactReply - TD

The only time I am nude when they are here is if I am in the pool or on the deck and they are in the house with the back curtains closed. Our next door neighbor who would come in without knocking caught me a few times.ReactReply - MEMemberJan 15, 2021
Nope once again as I stated we once had both indoor and outdoor hot tubs absolutely no clothing. Perhaps I am old and grumpy but I am the maintenance man. Had a few textile visitors strip down over the years and take a soak and found out it wasn't as scary as they thought. My Luann was one of them herself years ago. Nope no clothes in our tub ever again or you can bring chemicals with you to straighten out the water.

Have been at clothing optional beaches where some people were not nude, so yes non-nudist have seen me nude. At home, I used to be dressed when other people visited, but in the last couple of years I started not caring to hide my nudity as much. So I don't bother putting clothes on when my brother or my best friend visits. They both don't care. Hot tub is definitely a no clothes area, but other than my best friend, no guests have used it.

I get there it's my house my rules types and can respect that. Yes I'd rather not have to be clothed for a day or evening, watch Luann putter around naked but it's not our style to be openly naked in front of textile company. Getting caught is one thing but open display is another thing for us.

CraigJan 19, 2021Yes, several times. Being a boater, I try to be naked whenever I can on the boat. I like to find a secluded spot to anchor and get some sun all over. The issue is that most people know where the secluded spots are. That said, there is an unwritten rule....Whoever gets there first, makes the rule for the day.
This means, If I get to a nice spot, get anchored and I am naked, then the next boat that wants to tie up in the "raft" has to respect the nudity of the first person. Thankfully, the spot I go to is pretty private and is pretty much known for boats to go if the people want to be nude. Most boats that pull up are like minded and are usually naked when they arrive.
We have some prude friends who occasionally make their way up to our spot. They know we will be nude. So yes, I have been nude many times with clothed people.
Believe it or not, I have been with no less than 10 people a few times and I was the only person naked.

noodengr2Feb 15, 2021quite often . most recently while staying at some airbnb's had two hosts in a row who upon finding out through casual conversation that i am a nudist told me to feel free to go clothes free around them. One host had 2 of his friends stop by and he told me not to bother getting dressed. it was a bit cool so i had on a long sleeved shirt but bare otherwise

We have textile friends from out of state that we see a couple of times a year. When they come here, they know the rules that you can only use the hot tub if you are naked, so they choose not to participate. They have no problem with us going in and even sit in chairs on the hot tub deck when we are in there. We also have an outdoor solar shower and one day my buddies' wife was reading a book on our deck and I asked her if I could take a shower (it's only about 15 feet in front of the deck). She replied "only if I can watch". So I slipped out of my shorts and went and took my shower.

CalidablueJul 16, 2021Yes many times. My closetest friends know I enjoy sunbathing nude and (seem to) except that.
ReactReply - MIMikeAug 5, 2021
Yes to your answer. Every since I got a hot tub 20 years ago I have been very open about being a nudist. Over the years what I have found works is when a friend is here for a meal for a the first time , I greet them clothed and we eat the meal. After the meal I suggest a hot tub soak and point out the house rules which are posted above it. 1. use common sense 2. no swimsuits allowed. Far more have taken me up on an offer than i ever thought would. We strip to soak, and once out I stay nude, sometimes they do , others redress. The next time they come I often greet them nude at the door, figuring that they have seen it all before. Never had a complaint.
I love it. This is a great way to end up nude again. I have been nude in front of friends in places where nudity was the thing, like hot tub and sauna, etc. Been nude in a hot springs too (where naturism is allowed after the dark). Not an issue to anyone. But afterwards, every got dressed again. Having a hot tub is a dream for my home. Something to think about for future house improvement. Living in Colorado, there is really good usage for it.ReactReply
