What is the generic term for a nudist, venue?

  I call Cypress Cove a naturist or nudist resort. Every place else I go, when describing it to non-naturists, I call it a nudist park. Not a nudist colony or naturist resort, because I don't think those words convey what I'm trying to share
  With nudists, I can just say Rock Haven or Sandy Terraces or whatever. Just call it by its name. Each parks is unique like we are.

  You can call it what the dude at the Dollar General store calls it when my honey walks up to the register and recognizes her, and of course notices her lack of a bra underneath her top - "There's the woman from the naked farm around the corner!"

  We grow such nice produce down on The Farm...and keep that Dollar General in business.

  Best to not get caught up in the naming game since the English language can get you in trouble in a big damned hurry. Attempting to pigeonhole a venue seems unhelpful when the place has already chosen a name for itself. To me, focusing on the activity of sun and wind against the skin in a social setting instead of worrying about names keeps what matters front and center.

  But if you must; if there is sand it's a beach, if there are tents it's a campground, if there's a motel its a resort. Nothing positive will come of referring to it as a colony or commune, terms that have fallen out of favor due to preconceptions still lingering from the sixties, where nakedness among many often included sexual interaction. That's a total no-no if we are ever going to educate the masses about wholesome, family bareness.

  At one time naturist/nudist park, club, camp were the popular designations. These days the terms resort, community and sometimes village are used.

  Im just looking for a term to cover everything, a generic term for a place people get naked. Nothing really seems to fit everything, so Im asking what does everyone else use for terminology? As I havent seemed to pick up on it

  The most common generic term is usually naturist venue or nudist club/grounds. Resorts and beaches are specific types, but venue works as a broad umbrella for any place where people gather socially nude.

  I had a conversation about this topic a couple of weeks ago with a woman who spends most of her summers visiting different nudist places. She said that within the US "resort" seems to be the favored term in the east while "club" or "community" are more popular in the west.

  There is a group from out of are state that runs a summer camp here in Vermont on a small lake on rt 100 they have another location which is more difficult to find on a mountain again on a larger pond first one has no trespassing signs posted but the road that they use is a town road the lake side next to rt 100 is public access fishing boating swimming The other area they own the access road to it only none camp vehicles are fire and utility verticals that can use it ,But there is access to the side of the pond were locals have camps ,Which the nudist camp owner have tried to get that whole area for years never going to happen, I would tell you the name of the Camps but that seams to be hidden theirs on signs naming them just a property owners name on the trespass signs Google search finds nothing we have some local out of the way skinny dipping areas most locals could tell you were to find them if they want to
