I would like to offer my congratulations to Mr. Donald Trump on his winning the election for President of the United States. Our best wishes and prayers go out to him for a successful Presidency. We know that there are a lot of problems that need to be solved in our great land but many of them can be solved by just encouraging the American people and getting the government out of our way and out of our lives. Who knows, but if we find that we have less to fear from prying government eyes, maybe nudism can become an accepted main stream activity.
I am confident that President Elect Trump will work hard to fulfill his promise to the American people to "Make America Great Again". Good luck.

I agree with the prayers and have to remember God is really the one in control.  Otherwise I think this was a major mistake but am hopeful because the Senate is more balanced plus since Hillary won the popular vote it should put Trump and the Republicans on notice. Second time now, maybe it is time to get an amendment to get rid of the electoral college.

Also, I've never understood the make America great again slogan. America IS great!  Yes there are issues that need to be addressed but there always are and always will be.

Well i hope Trump does not put into practise all that he  promised, its nice to see someone upset the establishment and i know he's promised to put American jobs 1st but a lot of his policies sound of protectionism to me.  I also hope he does not curry favour with his friend Putin by recognising Russia's annexing of the Crimea from the Ukraine.   As for Obamacare, well i live across tthe pond but we Europeans find it very strange that the most powerful and wealthiest country in the world does not have a basic healthcare system for its people,Trump has said he;s going to do away with Obama care.                 God Bless America
All though this is my own personal  political view i would just like to add that when i was in the states ,i found the American people to be very generous and very  friendly and have only the fondest memories of my time there.

Personally, I am shocked that an individual who offended the blacks, the Hispanics and women of all color and races could be elected to the highest office in the country. Imagine how I felt when I had to assure my nine year old grandson, a US Citizen of Mexican descent, that he would not be deported. Fortunately, the founding fathers of this country set up a government with a system of checks and balances  which assures that the President cannot run amuck and act as a dictator. To some extent, at least, the office makes the man. The man does not make the office.
While I don't feel that there were any good choices in this election, if all the groups which Donald Trump has offended had flocked to the polls and voted, we might have our first female president-elect, today.

I agree wholeheartedly with Bruce...this is a great step in the right direction.  Our government is 'for the people, by the people and of the people'. HRH Clinton does not fit into any of these categories including the HRH...may a new Justice Department seek the rule of law on her criminal actions and pursue something other than 'Civil Rights'.  Go Donald....
Ok if you want to make the arguement that it is by the people which I agree it should be, you are contradicting yourself by supporting Trump. He has absolutely no idea how the vast majority of us live paycheck to paycheck or working long hours at a job we hate while running the kids to school and then soccer practice etc.  He cannot in any way be considered one of the people. I know you are thinking Clinton can't either and I somewhat agree but look at her history, she does have a lot more exposure and firsthand understanding.

Also, get off the criminal BS, she's been cleared and it is 'Trumped' up BS.  For that matter if you really want to go down that path, Trump should be locked up for his fraud with Trump University, pay issues with his casinos, fraudulent dealings with contractors, etc. but the Clinton campaign took the high road and left that alone.

One of the main thing for you over the pond is what will happen over nudity as I think he is wanting to be more for the Christians and could they get hip to clamp down what they think nudity is a sin and be outlawed even though the sin in gods eyes is having cloths on.

"If you look at the county map, this election shows once again that  the American system of protecting the minority is encapsulated in the Electoral College. Without it, the big cities would rule the country and the majority of the communities would be rendered silent."
Please explain how the Electoral College silences the majority of communities.  Here are the facts about the Electoral College:
Arguments Against the Electoral College Those who object to the Electoral College system and favor a direct popular election of the president generally do so on four grounds:
• the possibility of electing a minority president
• the risk of so-called "faithless" Electors,
• the possible role of the Electoral College in depressing voter turnout, and
• its failure to accurately reflect the national popular will.
Finally, some opponents of the Electoral College point out, quite correctly, its failure to accuratelyreflect the national popular willin at least two respects. First, the distribution of Electoral votes in the College tends to over-represent people in rural States. This is because the number of Electors for each State is determined by the number of members it has in the House (which more or less reflects the State's population size) plus the number of members it has in the Senate (which is always two regardless of the State's population). The result is that in 1988, for example, the combined voting age population (3,119,000) of the seven least populous jurisdiction of Alaska, Delaware, the District of Columbia, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming carried the same voting strength in the Electoral College (21 Electoral votes) as the 9,614,000 persons of voting age in the State of Florida. Each Floridian's potential vote, then, carried about one third the weight of a potential vote in the other States listed. A second way in which the Electoral College fails to accurately reflect the national popular will stems primarily from the winner-take-all mechanism whereby the presidential candidate who wins the most popular votes in the State wins all the Electoral votes of that State. One effect of this mechanism is to make it extremely difficult for third party or independent candidates ever to make much of a showing in the Electoral College. If, for example, a third party or independent candidate were to win the support of even as many as 25% of the voters nationwide, he might still end up with no Electoral College votes at all unless he won a plurality of votes in at least one State. And even if he managed to win a few States, his support elsewhere would not be reflected. By thus failing to accurately reflect the national popular will, the argument goes, the Electoral College reinforces a two party system, discourages third party or independent candidates, and thereby tends to restrict choices available to the electorate. Finally, in a strictly red or blue winner take all state, minority votes do not matter and their voices will not be heard.  The only difference where minority votes may matter is in swing states.
Trump Christian????  You've got to be kidding!!!  I'm sure he's never read the Bible and definitely does not follow Jesus's teachings of love, grace, acceptance, etc., etc.  He may claim to be but I sure don't see it that way and I'd really love to see when God judges him.
If you're saying Obama is a Muslim you obviously have no idea who he is or anything about that faith. From my view he is probably not a strong Christian but much more Christian than Trump.

"Poor deluded electorate. How can so many people be naive enough to believe the crap that spews from Trump."Trump's income tax reduction plan has been revealed. Those making about $100,000 per year will see a reduction of about $1,000.  Those making $3 or $4 million will see a reduction of $1 million.  How can people at the bottom be so deluded to believe that Trump cares about them when one policy after another will favor the wealthy and screw the working poor and middle class.  Trump understands and will take care of his own kind. The rest will be forgotten about and when Trump's enormous spending explodes the deficit even further, they will then be forced to pay even more for his reckless spending.

Obama is a devoted, prayer-breakfast-going, churchgoing Christian, who - in his first campaign, lest we forget - was criticized by the right for comments made by the pastor of his Chicago church (United Church of Christ). When that didn't stick, the Muslim business was concocted in the fact-free rumor zone of talk radio, Fox news and the internet, where the idea will never die, but remains as a badge of belonging for a certain political affinity group.

Perhaps not the worst mistake in political history. Argentina, a large wealthy democracy with a standard of living then similar to the US, did elect Peron during the Great Depression, with the result that Argentina has been in depression ever since.
Wow, talk about a low information individual on a bully pulpit. As the saying goes, "everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts."
Despite all of the bellowing and accusations from conservatives, President Obama, his wife, and children are Christian. Perhaps your lack of knowledge about Donald Trump precludes you from understanding how very un-Christian the President elect is. You might want to remind yourself about all of his very public extra-marital affairs, his multiple marriages,  his shady business  practices, his charitable giving of "other people's money", and his modesty. With super-Christian Vice-President Elect Pence, do you honestly think that nudism will even be discussed? I would be willing to wager the use of public lands for recreational nudism has NEVER been discussed by ANY president.
President-Elect Trump - the hope and hero of impotent old men.
