Profile, background, and non-nude photos are not moderated. You can post any picture you want. (Not saying it's right, just the way it is). Profile photos will only come to the attention of the moderators if you flag them for sexual content. Don't try and flag the photo itself (that's been broken for years), flag the account. I always just choose the "fake account" option and the photo is usually gone within a day or two at the most. I have repeatedly recommended to change the coding so profile photos must first be uploaded to the personal account gallery before they can be selected as a profile (or background) photo, but that hasn't happened.
The main photo gallery is moderated and it has been a long time since I have seen an inappropriate photo end up there.
Nude photos posted to a profile I assume are first flagged by some type of AI and sent to a queue to be reviewed, though I now think you have to be certified to even post any photos if you are one of the lucky ones that the upload link still works. (Lots of folks, including myself, have lost the ability to upload to our personal profiles).

I think something has finally changed for the better. I don't think you can choose arbitrary photos at sign up for your profile/background photo anymore. Since the photo upload issue was resolve, I haven't come across an objectionable profile photo and it appears the only newer accounts with profile photos are certified.

Not everyone will trawl through this thread before engaging in conversation with a fake user. If anything is to change with the fakes then a more proactive approach is needed

John aka cobeachbum[/quote] I get at least 2 friend requests a week from some female that has supposedly been on the site at least 3 weeks to 3 months. No pictures of them nude or just no pictures at all. And these fakes have upped their game. Now they try to hold a conversation with you for a while before asking you to talk with them on telegram or whatsapp.

The really disturbing thing is the use of AI to carry on fake conversations. I've come across a couple of those. It takes a couple of messaging rounds before it becomes apparent that it's an AI.

There has never been a requirement that the profile photo (or any photo) be of the account holder (You can decide if that's good, bad, or indifferent). The new certification process forces you to provide ID now and just recently, a change was made that forces any profile or background image to go through the same moderation process as gallery photos. You used to be able to use any photo, including straight up pornography without any moderation. I routinely watch the feed of new accounts and have not had to report any photos for quite some time now. I assume at some point one will slip through.

I realize that simply being certified doesn't mean the person is real, nor that the photo attached is actually of the account holder, but it improves the odds greatly that the account holder isn't a spammer as most would not take the time or effort. I still believe in order to post anything, including photos and comments, should be limited to paid and certified accounts. I would allow Non paid/certified to read the forums and groups, but not view any photos at all. I would make an exception for long time members that have shown they are legitimate.

Also, any post including the name of an off-site app should be auto-deleted.

It happens almost daily. There are countless cases of male accounts posting pics of their other half - sometimes even with said male in the photo as well - but the user gets banned, because according to the Moderators you aren't allowed to post images of people that are not "you".

The chat moderators deleting innocent photos and banning users fall under those "made up rules". The chat room is a clique, and if you aren't part of that clique you get banned for breathing wrong. I rarely enter the chat for this reason, and don't cam at all. My comment about no rule pertaining to a profile photo, or any other media, actually being of you is concerning the main site.
