How Do You Handle Friend`s Requests?

I've read several posts in the forums about friends requests and wanted to poll the membership about your opinions and to learn how other people handle them.  I have only initiated one friend request myself and wasn't added by the person so maybe she didn't feel I was her fiendship type or perhaps she hasn't signed on since I made the request.  But that is beside the point.  Once I received "True Nudist" status, I received a number of friends requests.  Since I'm new I decided to just pretty much take people at face value which is how I hope others take me.  So if I get a request I approve it and add them.  The majority of the photos I post are categorized as "Friends Only" so perhaps some people ask me to add them just out of curiosity.  But I suppose I will add anyone who asks and if something should develop as time goes on that makes me feel it isn't someone I'm really compatible with as far as a friend then I'll delete them.  But what do you do?  Especially those who have been on the site for a while.  Are you more discriminating when it comes to approving friends requests?  If so, what method do you use to decide on who to add and who to deny?  Just curious.

I think that many people on here are too hung up on petty things.
Someone being your "Friend" on here doesnt give anyone any special privliges .. Unless you mark your photos for "Friends only"
I guess some people have their reasons to do that, but since i dont censor anything or anyone,  I just accept anyone who asks and then I can always purge them if they turn out to be losers.
Most people are nice enough, so our list is long.

I deny all unless they've chatted with me and seemed nice. :)

At first I was puzzled as to why old topics would be drug up again, but then it dawned on me that this is a topic that probably should be revisited every few months, as we have new blood who have the same questions we "oldtimers" had at another time.  So, Marcus...thanks for reminding us. as a newbie, my experience is to accept everybody!!! why discriminate ? what purpose does it serve? yes being friends allows you to se e pics others canot see, but besides that what other advantages do u enjoy? I do not see any reason to deny, do u?

I add friends freely. The thing I love about being a nudist is being non judgmental. Yes some people add because they want to see pics, I have no problem with that, I feel the same way when looking at profiles. We are not so different from eachother. I like men, women, gay straight and bi, even transgender. We are all human and we are all in this nudist world together. I am looking for friends and networking. I won't judge based on age either.
Those are my 2 cents.
Cheers, Brendan
why discriminate ? what purpose does it serve?
If you have no intention of ever interacting with someone why would you add them to a friends list? A large list of "friends" is very difficult to deal with to any extent unless you plan to simply add them then ignore them. There are people on here who I consider friends yet we are not on each others friends lists as we communicate very well in posts. Even with a small number on my list I admit that it is often weeks or months between direct contact

I accept ALMOST all friend requests....the one or two times I denied was because of their status...they were sexual in nature and that's not why I'm on here....

I've had a couple of friend requests from people with blank profiles. I just send them a polite message saying that I don't accept requests unless the profile is filled in and there are photos as well. Haven't had repeat requests from the members in question yet. Hope this is an acceptable way to deal with this particular situation...

being an old newbie, i accept all friend requests whether we have chatted before or not. The thing that intrigues me is that once a friend is added you very rarely hear from them again. Is adding friends a competition to see who can gather the most?

My latest friends request was from a member with a private profile. I messaged him, asking him to either tell me about himself or allow me to view his profile.
His reply was for me to acept his request and I would then be able to see his profile. Since he wasn't willing to tell me about himself, I didn't want him as a friend so I simply delete his request.
