... when you finally decided that nudist lifestyle is for you?
I suppose I can say I've been a declared nudist for about ten years  but my first visit to naturism beach was in my childhood... I must have been 6 or 7 years old and we went to the coast with my parents. We came across a nudist beach by accident and just... stayed there. As far as I can remember, I didn't mind at all.

I started sleeping naked at around 10, and skinny-dipping in moments of privacy in the creek about the same time.  Social nudity started with skinny-dipping in the local gravel pit when I was about 20 - at the same time that I moved into a communal house where nudity was routine on the bed-to-bath route.

I was 17 when I "outed" myself in broader sense - for instance that at school pretty much everyone knew of my attire preference.

I was 33 when I found Black's Beach during a business trip to California.  When I took my clothes off that first time and was able to enjoy being nude with other people, I knew something big had changed in my life.

I've been nude at home since my late 20s. But I still haven't been to a nudist resort (they generally don't cater to single guys) and went to a nude beach for the first time just 2 months ago....at age 42!

A litttle hard to pinpoint although more consistant after retirement!  High profile jobs for me and the wife made it difficult through the "working public" years!

If you want to refer  to my first memorable nudist experience, it would have to be at the age of 3.

I remember well how it had rained significantly and there was a huge mud puddle I saw off the back porch that was inviting. The rain has become a slight mist and I wanted to go swimming. I also had memories of my Mother telling me not to ever get my clothes muddy while playing. O. K....I stripped everything off and “jumped” in the hole (actually waist deep on me) and enjoyed the nude chilling, invigorating experience. Unfortunately, my Mother also saw my enthusiasm and promptly sent my Dad on a mission. He was a strict disciplinarian that used whatever “tools” was at his disposal as needed. Off came the belt and “walked” me back to and up the steps onto the porch. Yes, I remember that first experience. I think the belt memory has faded more (finally) and has been taken over by that memorable “tingling, shivering feeling in the mud-hole naked.  Lots of other stories later on, but that was the first experience.

When I was growing up I was told that is was ok to dress and undress in front of other males but it was not ok to be nude in mixed company. Swimming nude at the YMCA during swims for men and high school boys was no problem for me, but when the Y went co-ed and required suits I thought my skinny-dipping days were over.
In 1994 (I was 53) I found out about a nudist campground not all that far from my home. There I learned the comfort of feeling the sun and fresh air on my naked body and not be embarrassed because I was nude in front of others of either gender.
Little did I know when I joined that group that I would eventually move into the clothing optional community I currently live in.

I was 23 when I met my wife. We started going naked together the day we married, in 1978. So,about 34 years. Although we have yet to experience social nudity, we are usually naked at least 12 hours each day whether in our house, yard or out in the forest or on a secluded beach or in the desert.

I was around 10 when I first found out that I liked to be naked outside in the summer, and as I grew older I just found more reason to get naked, which usually involved some type of dare or game.  When I was 13 I had a girlfriend who had a pool and she would wear bikini's to look sexy, and I would wear shorts but usually after we went swimming we would take off the suits to dry while we tanned on the deck.  So after a few day we just quit even getting the suits wet and would sunbathe nude.  So when I was 18 thongs were getting popular and I bought one for myself and my gf bought a G-string to wear to the beach and sooner than later we found a nude beach and never went back to swimsuits

I remember getting in trouble for walking down the road naked at 4 yrs old. Lost count of the times I got caught naked growing up. So I guess the answer to the question is 4.

I discovered social nudism after visiting my first clothes optional beach in Benidorm Spain during my Navy deployment, I was 19 at the time, noticed that everybody was having a good time, so I took the plunge and when I came back to the United States didn't know where to start to find a nude beach until I came across a letter to "Dear Abby" and she posted the address to AANR, a request for information, and a visit to Cypress Cove soon after that.

I was in college walking back to the dorm late Friday night after meeting friends at a bar.  I always walked past the pool for the apartments across the street and decided what the heck.  Since it was dark, and there is some privacy, I stripped and went skinny dipping.  It was very relaxing to say the least.  Years had past and I found myself at a nude beach in Jamaica.  That's when I remembered how awesome the first experience was and now being nude is a daily thing for me.  Coffee on my patio, laying out to get tan (wearing a thong though) and just chillin out.
I do it because it is relaxing, no other reason.  Not into showing off the goods to anyone, or hoping to get caught like some have mentioned (whatever floats your boat I guess).  Its really just a way to relax for me.

My mother took me to see "The Good Bye Girl" the orginal with Richard Dryfus . The scene where she knocs on his bedroom door and ask's if he is decent. He is nude playin a guitar sittin on the bed. And that clarified for me that it's O'K, our bodies may be shaped different but we are basically all the same. SO BOUT 11.
