We've just had another cold spell, but today we've got a warm front, (warm! ..... HA! that just means it's not freezing) so it's going to be wet and windy for a few days, but at least it'll be a bit milder, up 6 or 7 degrees to around 12. Of course, THAT might even feel hot, after what we've been having.
Spring IS on the way, but there is still a risk that we could get some more snow before it happens. This has been the worst winter for about 40 years, last year was bad as well, so I'm not looking forward to the next one, but I bet it will be here before we know it! So I'll be counting the sunshine in minutes again :(

PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterApr 23, 201104.23.11. .... Finally! .... after a few warmish days over the last few weeks, that turned out to be false alarms, we are actually having our fifth or is it sixth, decent day on the trot! It's been 26 plus all week, and today is turning out to be as good if not better.
Average temp are supposed to be only 13 for this time of year, so, maybe there is something to this global warming. I just hope it doesn't mess up the gulf stream, or the UK will get even colder, not to mention the havoc it would cause elsewhere.ReactReply - CD
Cheri Donna DawsonApr 24, 2011Sunny...pleasant...temps will be high 70s. It was barely 60 when we awoke.

Well that was a nice little hot spell! Three or four days of temps way above average for the time of year, twenty-six's and sevens, (should only be 12-13) but it's cooling off now, down to 16 or 17 for the next few days. Cloudy to day. but still no rain, must be six or seven weeks now, since had a decent shower. Apparently it was the driest April on record here.ReactReply - CD

jasonMay 12, 2011well the 4 -1/2 days of warm weather and sunshine were nice, today started with a t-storm followed by a day of sunshine till about an hour ago when the t-storms rolled in again. the next several days they are predicting more rain. the poor farmers are having a difficult time trying to get anything planted in the soggy sponge like ground.

Guess I'll be waiting for the wind to pic up then :( ...... think I'll have a naked bon-fire, that should warm things up a bit, and it keeps the body hair under control. :)ReactReply - CD
