We are staying in a cottage with a high privacy fence around the back yard and a lot of vegetation. The lot is rather small and in town. Is it legally safe to sun nude?

I dont think its a matter of legality, as long as you are %100 confident no one can see you then you could be naked.

Its once you involve others in your nudity that cases the problem.

Nsw has a similar law to qld, in that if you cam be seen from a public space then it is illegal.

The definition of a public space can include your neighbours property in both States too. This is because somebody of the public can enter your neighbours property without breaching trespass laws.

If you are wasily visible from any point in the neighbours yard then it could be hard to defend your case. This may include somebody servicing the roof for example. But generally the harder it is for somebody to see in the more defensible your case.
