The Constitution, The Second Amendment and BHO — General Discussion on True Nudists

I believe that the things happening today in Washington is the start of a long slide into losing our republic. The Constitution is the framework of our republic and BHO wants to chip away at that. If he succeeds in repudiating our rights under the second amendment, what will his next target be? Will we no longer be secure in our homes, papers and personal effects? Will we not be able to peacefully assemble? Will we need to be wary of what we say and who we say it to? Can we be arrested and imprisoned without due process?

If he succeeds in this one thing, we will no longer have a republic but a dictatorship, or government by the elite. Many people have sacrificed their lives and fortunes to retain the republic and I believe there are many out there who would still be willing to stand up to protect those rights. BHO has not just attempted to throw out a part of the Constitution. I believe he has also sown the seeds of a revolution.

[/quote]Raven, people can debate but only the Founders could know what they meant when they wrote it. There has been clear evidence of this through writings of the day, quotes of the founders and other, so any other gray areas are simply made up. I find it funny that the only Amendment with a seemingly "Gray" area to the progressive left is the 2nd and the 10th is very clear, they just often ignore it and pretend it's not there.

And didn't the right wing "blindly" follow Bush through two wars and a financial collapse, always defending him? You guys have short memories. You weren't screaming about the loss of your constitutional rights when he brought in the Patriot Act. Which leads one to believe that the only right that you care about is the right to own as many guns as possible.

I'm not "gonna" call you a liar. The last two years have been much more successful financially for my U.S. income. That wasn't the case in the last Bush term. My real estate now is far more valuable. Are you "gonna" call me a liar now? If citizens survived 8 years of Bush, you can survive 8 years of Obama. Just keep searching for a legitimate candidate.

There is no doubt that there are some that have capitalized on this administration, but it doesn't mean that the economy is recovering. But that's for another debate, we are still on the Constitution which is still very much the law of the land and is being ignored by this administration.

The Department of Homeland Security recently put out a video of one of the 2700 light armored tanks it has just purchased. They are already on record of stockpiling 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition.

This vehicle is impressive but more importantly, listen to what this guy has to say. He, and his people, are a part of a Federal force. They can go anywhere in the Country. This is the army BHO was talking about in his first run for POTUS. An army better equipped and better trained than the US Military. These are the people who will be coming after your weapons. Do you have anything that will stop them?

BHO cannot trust the US Military to go up against our citizens but these yahoos of Homeland Security will do his bidding.

Don't forget that one of the reasons why so many top military officials were relieved of duty is because they failed his "Litmus Test" on whether they would be willing to give the order to fire on US Civilians. Even on the military end, he doesn't need the entire military to comply, the estimate is at about 25-35% which he has ready and willing. Also remember that the ammunition that the administration is stockpiling is Hollow Point ammunition which some of these people won't get as a big deal so let me enlighten you all. Hollow Point Ammunition is forbidden for use in war by the Geneva Convention, so it can only be used for Domestic Use! Now with 1.6 billion rounds of ammo which is enough ammo (based on this war) for a 24 year war (5.5 million rounds on the average were used in the Iraq war each year) So WHO exactly is the Obama Administration planning on going to war with?

You guys sound as crazy as shit house rats. It seems like only the US can produce such wing nut conspiracy nuts. And those are the people who start stockpiling and then shooting up a school or mall. If you seriously believe that the Obama administration plans to strip you of all weapons and shoot you, it's time to report you to the authorities and get you some help. Because no one ever does that.

I think that's the point. They will be using their guns under the paranoid delusion that their government is "out to get them" and take away their guns, killing innocent people in the process. This is the sort of mental illness that fuels people like Timothy McVeigh. It doesn't matter what the government is. And it's always the ones who rage the loudest about their right to bear arms.

A small request: Could you cite text sources where you have them? Video takes much longer to get through, and is really difficult to parse and fact-check. Partly for those reasons, it can be more manipulative than text, something we should all be conscious of in a video age.

[/quote]Everyone is always asking proof, but what's better than video of the actual people speaking about it. Text sources depend on who is writing it about the subject. So sorry, not going to happen.
On the main note, if this forum had moderators as it should have, this thread would have been either shut down many posts ago, or people would have been kicked for trolling. With that in mind, it's obvious the trolling and personal attacks persist causing this to go nowhere, so I'm voluntarily pulling off of this thread for good. The truth doesn't matter anyway, people will believe what they want to believe.
