On July 10th, we will be visiting Gunnison beach at Sandy Hook, in New Jersey for the day along with several others here. If you're in the vicinity and would like to join us, post to this thread. Let's make a day of it and all get to meet each other in reality. Details and updates will be posted on this thread. This is a great opportunity for all you who haven't actually met someone from this site, as well as trying social nudity if you haven't and single males with no restricitions, as well as old friends spending a day in the sun. Get there early, leave late...

If you have windscreens, chairs be sure to bring them. And don't forget your SUNSCREEN. Weather updates, and RSVP's.

Have a great time all... I am envious as we are in mid winter here .. had a fantabulous day there last summer with OCMICK !! have one on me and throw some sand into the sea for me.... I am sure you will ALL have a great time...One day Jen!

We recommend every one bring food and drink for themselves, but I'm sure that as with most beach gatherings there will be plenty of sharing. This is a very informal event. Just a chance for TN members to meet in person. And a chance for those who've never experienced nudism outside their home to join up with some friendly folks for their first experience. So often we here that people have no nude friends to go with them which is why they've never tried social nudism. Here is an opportunity for some of them! Jen and Steve

As long as the weather is better then today, then I will be attending the gathering. Like others who posted, I do not visit the beach on the weekends for the same reasons. However like the others I am going to make an exception in this case as long as its a beach day. Hope to see you all Next Sunday.

Thanks for any help you can give me.[/quote] There is a ferry boat from Manhattan to Highlands, NJ. But the remaining problem is how to get from Highlands to Gunnison Beach. It would be a very long walk. I don't know taxis in that area. Gunnison Beach is far out on Sandy Hook.

Gunnison Gathering -Meet at Gunnison beach on July 10th,Where to find us on the beach:once you've walked off the boardwalk, head towards the volleyball court. Walk to the volleyball net post, then turn towards the water and walk straight ahead. Look for either a white or pink Tshirt hanging from either a windscreen or umbrella post. It'll Have the letters TN on it. Stop and introduce yourself.Arrive early:Get to the beach by 9 a.m., weekends are extremely crowded and once the parking lot is full you can not enter or you may have to walk over a mile just to get to the area. If you can't make it by 9 am., arrive later, like noon or 1pm. Early morning beachgoers tend to leave, opening some spaces.Bring:your personal needs, water and food to sustain yourself for the day, it's a Looong walk back to the concession stands or your car.Be Prepared:to meet some great people, have a great time, catch some rays, or, if this is your first time at a nudist venue, to revel in the absolute freedom of being nude outdoors.Behavior: We expect veteran nudists as well as some newbies to show up. Be gracious and understanding, give guidance when asked. First timers, don't be afraid to ask.Good behavior will be expected as well as proper nude beach ettiquette, if you're not sure what that is, then google nude beach ettiquette and learn, or just ask.Individuals who display inappropriate behavior, will be asked to leave the group, and may be subject to arrest by the rangers.Helpful needs:Who might have a beach umbrella, canopy or windscreen that could bring it along for the group? Helloooooo. SnuggleBunny said it best. This is the most oportune time to meet other TN members in one place. We will positioned in front of the volleyball nets by the ocean. It is BYOW = Bring Your Own Whatever you want to bring. No glass bottles are allowed on th e beach and each person must take their own trash home. Get there early. The parking lot is huge but fills up quickly. See Ya Sunday!!!
