They are all over. Some years back we parted ways with a popular north american reformed faith. Even though the church did vote to accept gay people into the ministry in that church many, even the old chruch leaders harped on week after week. Most of the churches comming out bellowing now are made up of decenders of others.
All you clowns that keep this thread going support phelps
Sorry you don't get to make that call. Only the sire admins can shutdown a thread. Besdies which your two most recent posts are self-defeating, you have done what you implore others not to. As for responding to the OP, God does not hate anyone regardless of their sexual orientation. We are after all sinners, and He sees all sins as equal. He may get upset at some of the sinful behaviour. As the saying goes, hate the sin not the sinner.
People gripe about moderate muslims supporting Al Qaida or the Taliban, because they don't do anything to stop them.  The same applies to evangelicals about Phelps.  Support through lack of action.

It is hard to ignore them when they are in the VETERNS face.  They talk about hating gays but do not protest at there functions like they do the vetern.

As a patriot, I say that Phelps' protests and verbal attacks on brave warriors who gave everything for America is beneath contempt, given that only because of them and millions like them does he have the right to be a consummate jackass without fear of being censored. As a gay man, I say that obscenities like this...... are providing the loathsome public persona of gays that Phelps and his ilk exploit to their advantage. Such sordid, grotesque behavior is immensely damaging to the perception of the "silent" gays and lesbians who live their lives out of the limelight and wish that those flaming fairies would just go away. All too often, gays are their own worst enemies.
As a gay man I find self-hating homosexuals with narrow minds like yours gays' worst enemies.

Replying with an ad hominem just doesn't cut it. I respect and embrace the diversity amongst gay, lesbian, bisexual people and amongst nudists. Those who rant and rail against someone for their gender expression or sexual orientation usually have said issues of their own which need examination.

Might as well chime in. Nude In MA is obviously an intelligent person with useful things to say who, unfortunately, has some deep issues which he feels the need to air in inappropriate venues. He destroys his own credibility with his extremist views and doesn't care to make his points in a non-confrontational way. He is wrong about Liberals but we understand because many card carrying Republicans (conservatives) have to hate somebody to feel important. He has no concept that we, the hetero community, hardly think that flaming homosexuals represent the mainstream gay community. We are aware of people who simply live as we do but are otherwise inclined. But he will flame about those flamboyant gays because he, as all Republicans, is afraid of appearing non-mainstream. Let it go, NinMA, breathe and relax. Don't try to send me a clever reply, I'm just reacting to your repeated words. I don't know you at all. Don't send me a personal note. I don't care. But I think we, as a community here, need to stop reacting to your verbal assaults and harangues because they will continue unabated nevertheless.

When you are granted the authority to dictate what threads others may post to, then perhaps your input will be of significance. Until such time, I will give it all the attention that it merits.
my opinion is as important to me,as your opinion is important to you. and you sir, are an asshole in my opinion.

Some of you may not like Palin or Bush.  That is your right not to like some one who stands up for what they believe in.  John Kerry, Obama and others they stand up for what they believe in depending on who they are talking to.  They change sides more than they do there underware.

Back on topic!  No one, EVER, demonstrates with the Phelpses; they are alone, with no visible support.  Two techniques have worked well against them.  In Topeka, and at occasional other venues, they are simply ignored; without publicity, they aren't effective, aren't interested, and generally don't stick around.  That's not complicity!  It's clever combat.  And sometimes a counter-demonstration:  A circle of people surrounds them, backs turned to them, facing out toward any crowd or cameras, with no signs, no shouting, no nothing of interest to the camera.  Same effect - and a good number of these quiet counter-demonstrators are professed Christians themselves.
