I served with the 173rd Airborne in Nam in 67-68. I hate the Westboro as much as anyone, but it is the ACLU that you should hate also. They are the ones that let this happen, and burning the flag, no pledge of allegence. They are taking away our values and letting the scum rule us.

Note that "Rev." Ricky Warren who gave a speech at Obama's inauguration is the head of the biggest Baptist church. Warren helped Uganda execute or imprison gays. I suppose he likes Phelps but I never interviewed either, but birds of a feather crap together.

That is why a lot of them stay neutral. Westboro is not a church, only hiding behind the Baptist name. They are a cult that no other church will be part of.

Absolutely agreed; that was my point: Christian congregations have organized the most effective counter-protests.
