Just curious how bold folks are. There is no wrong answer. We each have a level of comfort we push our nudity to. Some never leave the privacy of their own homes. Others take it to the extreme.
So what is the boldest thing you have ever done in your birthday suit?

Walked around the block completely naked at around 3:30 AM. Didnt see anyone but I did hear some people talking, probably in a back yard. May be on a Ring doorbell or two!

PaulDec 5, 2021Among the most daring things I've done is go for a walk in the middle of the night. I did this several times but I always walked away from the highway, rather than toward it. I live out in the country, so not many neighbors, but not totally alone, either. Walking away from the highway is fairly safe. Almost zero chance of being seen.
But one night I decided to walk towards the highway. I have four neighbors -- one at each corner of the intersection of my road and the highway. Two of them have sodium vapor streetlights out near the road. I would have to walk essentially right under those lights with no place to hide. I did it. I even crossed the highway and walked down the road a ways on that side of the highway.
That time of night, the chance that anyone would be up and about is slim to none, but the possibility exists.

If a textile would do it and not feel nude or exposed, it's probably not nudity. Consider that you are always nude underneath your clothing. But no one can see, so it's not considered nudity. If you are nude in the shower with the shower door or curtain closed and the bathroom door closed, that's not really nudity -- you're just taking a shower. Textiles do the same. If you are nude inside your house and alone, then your house has merely become a different form of clothing. Is being nude in a locker room really being nude? Not in my opinion. It's a time, place, and situation where (until extremely recently) even textiles thought nothing of leaving their clothing behind and taking care of their business without feeling the need to be covered. Who would see them? Other naked people of the same sex? That's hardly nudity. That's just taking a shower, shaving, pissing, etc. And even textiles do those things while not wearing clothing. You're not really nude until you truly drop the clothing at a time, place, and situation where it is at least possible for someone else to see you where textiles would likely never be without their clothing. Taking the trash bin to the road -- even in the middle of the night. Going out to the mailbox -- even in the middle of the night. Swimming in a backyard pool. Sunning on the patio. Nude or clothing-optional beach -- even if no one else is there. Nude or clothing-optional resort. Camping or hiking -- regardless of how remote.ReactReply

If you're in your backyard with a high privacy fence and you're no more likely to be seen than if you were in the house -- is that nudity or not?
The standard I tend to use (but I'm not entirely consistent about it) is whether or not a textile would likely engage in that behavior. As far as I know, very few textiles would consider swimming nude in their own backyard pool. And if they did do it, they'd be certain no one ever knew about it. Very risque. [can't have the diacritical over the 'e' because TN deletes the entire character]
Consider that probably every president who was in the Whitehouse while there was a Whitehouse pool swam nude in that pool, but it's borderline obscene to even suggest it. People do things behind closed doors that shouldn't be discussed.

I use to like rollerblading pre-dawn in the park. starting falling too much & had to quit. Anyway, I always loved being nude in the park. Zipping along the bike paths with the breeze blowing all around me. I didn't like having to stop to remove my shorts, so I cut the crotch out of them enabling me to remove them over my head. Usually I would just carry them in one hand and skate away. Occasionally, I would deposit them somewhere and take a risk . Had to duck into the bushes a few times when encountering other legally dressed morning people. I even crashed & burned once when I quickly came upon a couple walking their dog. Was very "Happily Surprised" when the dog didn't hear me.

Ross AngusJan 16, 2022For me, I can recall several things I have done which were really bold.
Probably the boldest was when I was on a nudist beach and walked over a hill to an adjacent textile beach to buy some baguettes and drinks for lunch. There was a bit of a queue and well over 100 swimwear clad people nearby. I waited briefly at a quiet end of the servery but was waved over to the busier end.
The fellow who eventually served me had a :O face but a fellow server took over, completely unfazed and I ordered my food and drink, paid for it (had a bumbag with cash) and returned to the nudist beach.

JinFeb 27, 2022Backpacking in the mountains. It was a 4 day trip and we were nude the entire time, except for a few hours one evening when the bugs came out. We me several other groups and they accepted us as we were. It seems the further one gets from the trailhead, the more rrelaxed everyone is.

Some of the boldest ones:
Driving to Key West nude early in the morning in a convertible with the top down back in the day when there were toll booths. Stopped at a toll booth nude. The details of that are posted elsewhere here.
Washing my car nude at the local car wash. Did this for several years before I got caught by the cops. Since I had slipped my tan colored running shorts on before he actually caught me, other than a stern warning nothing happened.
Late night nude walks around the condo complex, getting mail taking trash out etc. One time there was a guy out there walking ahead of me shining a flashlight on me as I walked back from the dumpster. Someone whistled from a window so it made me feel good knowing someone was enjoying seeing me nude.
Going to the well lit walk up ATM at the bank. When someone reminded me that the ATM has cameras, my response? "I hope they enjoyed the view"
Having a full frontal nude photo of myself published in Playgirl magazine
Skinny dipping in almost all the condo and apartment pools in my city. Over 60 of them. At one of them about 1/4 mile from my condo I left my shorts there and walked home nude. Passed a few people on the way home and they all approved..
There are a lot more, it is amazing that I have never been arrested.

I was up camping at a river that had a nice swimming hole and a sandy beach.It was very hot, close to 100 degrees, decided to walk down to the beach naked, I usually bring some shorts with me.I went and took a swim and decided to go for a walk, ended up walking upriver at least a mile with nothing on. Some people were camping on the other side of the river. I'm sure they saw me but didn't say anything. Had a great time.

BillMar 22, 2022As someone before said, as a lifelong nudistas was my ex-wifethere are many. Here are a few:
-- Ex and I had a party at the house with guests both old-time friends (maybe 10), and many people from both of our workplaces (maybe 30). With nightfall, we got naked and went skinny dipping in the pond with a few of our old friends and spent the rest of the party nude. Made for interesting water cooler talk on Monday.
-- Ex and I rode by car from NY to MD to her parents' home, nude all of the way including the various toll booths.
-- Was invited to speak to a college sociology class about nudism and did it in the nude. (Was a designated public speaker for AANR at the time.)
-- Ex and I went to a Halloween party in NYC, dressed only in a towel as if we had just gotten out of the shower. Turns out we were the only ones in costume. After a few drinks and being a little upset that no one dressed up as the hostess requested, we ended up dropping the towels, spent the rest of the party nude, even dancing with others, and walked the two blocks to the parked car naked.
