I liked Underdog. Here's this mild mannered dog that can't stand a chance in a fight, but he always fought for those that couldn't fight for themselves.

On screen, it has to be Bugs Bunny. For comic books it was Smoky Stover followed closely by Mutt and Jeff. Anybody else remember those two strips?

I loved watching all the Disney Afternoon shows as a kid. Darkwing Duck, Tail Spin, Gargoyles, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Aladdin the series, Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers, and Duck Tales. Then there were other shows not in their line-up but were still Disney like The Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh. I was a HUGE Disney fan as a kid. Still am. :)

It varied as I got older.  I grew up on Popeye, Underdog, and Looney Tunes, with Rocky and Bullwinkle a favorite.  I liked Tom Terrific on Captain Kangaroo too.  In the 1950's and early 60's after school TV had local kids shows that featured movies and cartoons from the 1930's and 40's.  The cartoons gave me my exposure to classical music with the dancing flowers and animals playing the instruments.  I loved it.  By college age, the Road Runner was a big favorite.  While in college from 1968 to 1973 movies were shown on campus every Friday and Saturday night and the guys almost revolted if the cartoon was something other than the Road Runner.

Hmm, Smokey Stover, I haven't thought of that in years. Remember Notary Sojac?

I always enjoyed the adventures of Road Runner and Wylie Coyote.  The varied contraptions that Wylie could devise and the many ways they could fall apart are mind boggling.  It was always funny to watch the anvil land perfectly on Wylie's head as he looked at the camera holding whatever sign was most appropriate.  Truly hilarious.

Can't think of much that is more funny than Andy Kaufman lip syncing to the Might Mouse theme song on the "Here I come to save the day." part.  Andy and Mighty Mouse were gone way too soon.

Bugs Bunny and Road Runner were my two favorites.  Looking at the guide on the TV recently I saw they're on and had time so turned it on for old times sake.

Hey Rocky!  Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat...ROAR!!!... No doubt about it, I gotta get another hat!:-D...

Rocky was so far ahead of his time... Remember Pottsylvania, where the TV stations had commercial advertising almost all the time...  with an occasional breaks for entertainment?    ... Now you have to pay to get programmingthatgood.;-)

Roadrunner and Wyl E Coyote "Genius" definitely. Also Marvin the Martian. It a shame that they cut out the so called violent parts on the ones they show these days.

Bugs Bunny, a classic. Have you ever noticed that many of the cartoon characters never wore pants?

I really liked Clutch Cargo. The animation was kind of creepy as only the mouth moved but the adventures were great. Ran across it again on one of the local over-the-air stations a couple years ago and just couldn't get enough. Seems it's off the air again as I've not been able to find it. What a shame.
