I moved to my new location about 4 years ago. I like to have at least one nude day a week. At my old location, my next door neighbor saw me naked through my sliding doors in my kitchen. She was planting flowers by our adjoining fence when she saw me. Later that day she knocked on my door to let me know that I could be seen . When I asked , she said that she was not offended , which was a relief. She told me not to worry about it even after I let her know that I am like this at least one day a week.
My new neighbors were not so understanding when they caught a glimpse of me though the side dining room window. I got a knock on the door telling me to close my blinds when Im walking around in the nude . There goes the thought of sunbathing in the nude on my deck . lol
Does anyone have any similiar stories.

There have been cases of people being charged - and I believe convicted - of indecent exposure while nude in their homes. The one I'm particularly thinking of was a guy drinking coffee in his front window when a mother and child passed by. TomAug 12, 2017The law does vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Here in PA, seeing you naked is all it would take. Neighbors might be understanding, or they might not. Once a report is filed with local law enforcement, it will be investigated.

According to YNA, Virginia law 18.2-387 Indecent exposure: Every person whointentionallymakes an obscene display or exposure of his person, or the private parts thereof, in any public place, or in any place where others are present, or procures another to so expose himself, shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. No person shall be deemed to be in violation of this section for breastfeeding a child in any public place or any place where others are present. Where I live, in PA, 3127. Indecent exposure: (a) Offense defined.A person commits indecent exposure if that person exposes his or her genitals in any public place or in any place where there are present other persons under circumstancesin which he or she knows or should know that this conduct is likely to offend, affront or alarm.ReactReply

She SHOULD have been charged with trespass an, voyeurism, and invasion of privacy.ReactReply - JO

I think we lost the ball a bit in this thread.
The OP said the neighbors complained they could see the OP nude through the window. Someone said the OP was within their legal rights being nude in their home. I cited a case indicating that's not necessarily so. Then things seemed to devolve into debating the case I cited.
The particulars of that case aren't super relevant to the OP's situation. What's relevant is that the neighbors COULD call the police and the OP COULD end up in jail/court/spending lots of $$$/etc. It depends on the particulars of the OP's local laws, what mood the police are in, what mood the local DA is in, and a bunch of other factors. The least dangerous thing to do is say, "Sorry" and keep the blinds closed.

DonAug 14, 2017May I say that I happen to know that AndyDi lives in California, and specifically, Riverside County. As a former California Peace Officer, I know that there is not a single District Attorney who would file a case on this. The State of California has decided that Nude is not Lewd, and in order for there to be charges filed against someone for being nude, there must be a lewd act involved, IE: someone touching their privates in a sexual manner. If you take reasonable steps to ensure your privacy, and someone takes steps to see you that are above and beyond their normal activity, they can actually be charged for being a peeping Tom.
True story: In the city I worked in, I was called about an indecent exposure situation, and when I arrived, this 80 year old woman took me into her bathroom (ya'll understand that in California, the houses are often so close together that you can reach out and shake hands with your neighbor... right?), and she went to her open window. I could see that her neighbor's window was open, and could hear the sound of a shower running. This old woman proceeded to stand on top of a step ladder so that she could look down into her neighbor's bathroom, and when he exited the shower to towel himself dry, she shook her head and asked, "what should I do about this?"
I told her to buy a shorter step ladder and left.

RSep 3, 2017We only have one neighbor that lives behind us that could possibly see into our house and we know this because we can see into theirs, mostly at night. We started out by closing the blinds but eventually got out of that habit. We've only been in this house for a year and these neighbors have never been very friendly from the beginning. Not mean or anything just haven't introduced themselves. We never blatantly make our nudity known so it isn't a problem. Our neighbor across from us knows to text before she drops in if she doesn't want to see us nude. lol

Our house was the first one in the village quarter. In this time I began my life as a naturist (or nudist). Ten years later the first neighbours built her house. They saw me often naked in our garden or around our house. They accepted it. Their children saw me, when tey were babies. Their was never any problems.

Kristina StumpfJan 5, 2018I've always lived in areas that were either secluded from my neighbors view or where concrete wall was 8 ft high and only way to see my backyard was to be on a ladder or step stool. This is not to say I haven't been caught or seen by neighbors, UPS delivery, gardeners or pool service workers, etc.; just that when that happens they were intruding and I wasn't doing it intentionally or at least the guilt was on them and not me. Getting caught actually turns me on and sometimes I am quick to cover up, while other times I will just cover my bottom and continue sunning and other times if it's the gardener at the neighbors just pretend I am sleeping or didn't notice.
